5 Bedroom Cottage in Logrono, Logroño

Finca el Consul is a house, socalled apartamento turistico (tourist apartment) with "2 keys" licenced by the local authorities for rent as one unit only.
The house is located only about 5 km from the center of Logroño in the roman village of Varea. However you will find yourself in a rural area on a farm land of 9 ha next to the river Ebro.
Its an old renovated farm house on two floors (400m2 in total) surrounded by a big garden with swimmingpool and barbecue. The house has 5 doublerooms nicely decorated to suit our visitors.
A nice garden surrounds the house and has a nice size pool, sunbeds, sunshades for outdoor dining, and a barbecue to prepare the excellent lambchops of the district or whatever you fancy to put on the grill. A perfect place to relax with family and friends.
The house is for rent as one unit only and for a maximum occupation of 10 persons and a minimum of 2 days.

Summary: We enjoyed every moment spent at Finca El Consul. It's location just minutes from Logrono, making it easy to do day trips and winery visits. Christian, the on-site manager, was very kind and helpful to our group.

Summary: This place was really cool! I could absolutely picture getting married here. Very spacious. It really felt like a traditional Spanish home which is what I wanted. I loved it! Christin was so incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to take us into town and show us the market, which we desperately needed. I really loved staying here. We had such a memorable family day by the pool. The first pool my niece was ever in was this one! Very exciting. I only have a couple complaints. I know it’s beyond anyone’s control but the non-potable water was a pain. It would have been nice to know that in advance. It would have been nice to have consistent WiFi. I’m always one to appreciate a ‘no-phone’ lifestyle, but unfortunately as travelers we need our phone to pull up directions to go anywhere. It was partly my fault for not letting anyone know in advance that we needed a crib. However, paying 50 euro for a crib is steep. Not to mention it smelled like mildew. Not ideal. Overall, we loved this house. It added to our Spain experience immensely. Would definitely recommend!

Summary: This is a nice property located in a desirable location if your purpose is to sample local wines. At first it seems like a strange area for a cute villa like the one pictured, but it is exactly as described in the listing. Mostly, it was Cristian and Ronald (the groundskeepers) that made our stay memorable. We will forever be grateful for their hospitality. The home can use a bit of updating. The dishwasher did not work and the stove was very hard to light and to keep it lit. The bed in the master was a bit hard as well. Those things are all minor in comparison to how quant and beautiful the home and its surroundings are. I definitely recommend this home and would rent it again if we are fortunate enough to go back to Logrono.

Summary: Authentic and very civilized retreat in Rioja - convenient distance to Logroño, vineyards, shopping and restaurants. The caretakers were very helpful and service minded, preparing breakfast and occasional meals. Delicately decorated house with personalized atmosphere. Great garden with pool and trees - much like an arboretum- we enjoyed daily walks around the Finca with the doggies, - crisscrossing the fields with grapes, pears and other plants. We were nine happy campers enjoying early autumn days in Rioja - recommendable albeit some noise from highway / rail during early morning with our windows and shutters wide open.
