Positive: Very nice and beautiful place. More expensive but everything works better than in cheaper places. Very nice hike up a beautiful mountain nearby. Pool and gym are great!
Negative: It’s quite the travel to get there. Not a lot in the neighbourhood. Food is really expensive. It’s nice but you pay 3,5-4 times more than in other places/restaurants and it’s not better. We expected a little more for the amount of money. Staf is really nice, helpful and friendly but there is quite a language barrier.
Summary: Nice but in our opinion too expensive

Positive: Serenity Villa is amazing. The people will do anything they can to help, despite the language barrier. They were so helpful, friendly, attentive, kind and happy. They even helped to arrange a private Ayurvedic massage for my wife and I last the house. The property is nicely laid out, the garden well maintained and the food is fantastic (the owner is an experienced chef who worked in 5-star hotels for 20 years). We really enjoyed our stay at Serenity and if/when we come back to this part of the world, will eagerly stay here again. Highly recommend.
Negative: A few very minor points: It would have been great if the language barrier wasn't there - but we managed to understand each other most of the time. Cushions on the pool-side loungers could be improved - but this by no means detracted from our overall experience. And the Wi-Fi could have been faster - but again, this was a very minor issue for us. Still loved our stay there.
Summary: A 5-star service at a beautiful private house with a quality hotel feel.

Positive: Amazing little paradise. Very nice and helpful staff and the best place to have a few relaxing days. You habe to be mindful of the fact that it is quite a way to Kandy city center, but we loved the fact that after a day in and around the hectic city we could return to a refreshing and peaceful retreat.
Negative: Just a minor thing (and the owner was very helpful with it): Paying by credit card was not possible for us - knowing that upfront would have been nice (maybe we did not read the fine print…)

Positive: We were the only guests during our short stay, and the attentiveness from the staff made it feel like our own private villa! It's not like a hotel, with a reception and separate dining room etc. Instead, its more like a luxury home with three guest bedrooms. The pool was the cleanest we've seen. And the Sri Lankan cooking was extremely good! The room was nice and clean too. The staff were always available and very helpful. The area is very quiet. We'd highly recommend!

Positive: Serenity Villa Digana was an absolutely breathtaking place. If you are looking for a calm and quiet retreat, this is the ideal destination for your vacation. It was a fabulous experience. The villa is situated in a nice, quiet location near Victoria Reservoir. The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cater to our needs at every step. The room was well-maintained, with all amenities available, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. I wish I could have extended my stay for a few more days. I will definitely come back on my next visit.
