Positive: The location was very good - only a few minutes' walk to the front, shops, restaurants etc. Parking was a very useful and probably a necessity for anyone with a car.

Negative: The flat was dark and a little depressing. The shutters mostly had to be kept closed as all windows looked straight onto the road, so the lights were on much of the time in the day. Opening the window in the living room meant cooking smells and cigarette smoke from the cafe immediately below came into the room. The flat is very dated, although spacious. The kitchen had far too much crockery in it - there was no larder space at all as there are literally dozens of plates, cups, mugs, glasses, etc. The shower head had to be held in place with one hand as it didn't stay there on its own.

Summary: Ideal location but gloomy accommodation

Positive: 5min walk to the beach, close to supermarket, restaurants, bakeries, box garage. Dishwasher, place to hang clothes, all appliances in the kitchen. Large flat.

Negative: Extremely noisy, all day, only silent period was between midnight and 5.30am. We could hear the deliveries moving in the garage up to the café below the flat. We could hear everything in the building. Really bad insulation & construction. Not appropriate in our opinion for those who have babies and young children. We had a really hard time resting and sleeping, and our baby woke up a million times with the noise. Every day the front door of the building was closed the whole apartment would shake. The singles beds made a lot of noises. The shower tap has to be fixed. AC only in the living room. Bedrooms were really hot when 30 degrees outside, the portable AC it isn't feasible because you need to have the window open to allow for the AC tube extractor.

Summary: Very noisy flat due to the construction quality and existence of a garage below the flat.
