This gorgeous self contained House Boat overlooks our small stand of Native Bush and is situated on our lifestyle property which has views of Aotea harbour, the Tasman sea and Mt Karioi. Listen to the abundance of bird life while sitting on your own deck and enjoy the most amazing sunsets and starlit nights in a peaceful and relaxing environment. Completely operated off solar power. We are located 15 mins drive away from Raglan and Ruapuke Beaches with Bridal Veil Falls and the Te Uku Wind farm closer still.
If you are expecting 5 star luxury accommodation then our place is not for you....Our focus is on genuine people wanting something a little bit different for a completely affordable price.

Summary: If you are looking for something right out of the ordinary then think about trying this - especially if you love wood and making things. This old boat brought back to life and renovated and located in the quiet hill country, not too far from Raglan, is a unique and fascinating place to stay.It has been fitted out with everything you need, especially a very comfortable queen size bed. It is, however, a very snug fit - as you might expect on a boat, A big book full of photographs of the whole renovation process - beginning with the of hauling a decrepit old boat over to its new home - and the (years of?) dismantling and loving restoration will answer many of your questions.We also enjoyed the the company of the 3 miniature ponies who inhabited the same paddock.

Summary: Helen was a great host and gave us excellent tips a to see the eels at Bridal Falls and a Geothermal beach at Ocean Beach. Her 3 horses, peacock and cat were great entertainment.

Summary: We used accomodation because marae was full, absolutely what we needed. Location so close, cabin cosy, warm as it was a very cold windy 3 nights. 5 star as it was what price reflected. Was like being at the marae with a great nights sleep 😁
