Summary: Staff was personable with helpful local destination advice. Property was a very short trip to my intended destination, less than 5 miles. Property was secluded and peaceful, tucked back between farm fields off of any major roads.

Summary: Gail and Ralph went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant after a full day of traveling. Gail even provided a litter box for my kitty and Ralph put my car on his lift when I mentioned I heard a strange noise. If you're looking for a comfortable home away from home, and not an impersonal roadside hotel, this is the place. Gail even prepares a homemade breakfast with eggs from their free roaming chickens. A real find in the Virginia countryside.

Summary: We loved staying at the Shady Acres B&B. Our hosts, Gail and Ralph, were delightful! Our room was beautiful, and there was a bookshelf full of good books to peruse. We had a sleep-number bed which allowed us to choose our comfort level. Really enjoyed the country breakfast with fresh eggs! Oh, and when you stay, don't forget to ask Gail about Lilly-Hoo!!

Summary: An excellent little out-of-the way B&B with lots of chickens (= fresh eggs) roaming around. Hostess was warm and very friendly.

Summary: This was a convenient stop along our way. Very nice. Very friendly. Very country. Hope we have the chance to stay there again, but spend a little more time. Restaurant recommendations were spot-on.
