Positive: What a super apartment - I felt very indulged with all the space. The apartment includes living area, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, and all are well stocked in what you need. It also has a wrap around balcony for sitting and watching Manipal life go by. There are plenty of buses or tuk tuks going into Udupi or the nearby beaches. I spent a couple of days exploring and walking along the spit between Muttu Beach and Malpe - be warned, bring plenty of water as no cafes along that beautiful stretch of beach, and the contrast of the beach and the back waters being so close with some beautiful houses in between is wonderful.. Udupi and Manipal are prosperous towns with nice people, and some great shops and cafes, and good transport links. My hosts were gracious and kind, and I felt very comfortable. I could have used the cooking facilities in the apartment if I had wished, but there were some good shops and eating places nearby, and a tuk tuk stand a few hundred meters away. It was very clean and quiet too, and my every need was met. Thank you.

Positive: To my surprise, this was a real home stay. Complete 1 BHK with all amenities including refrigerator in the kitchen for a simple home cooked dinner after a full day tour. They also had a washing machine and clothes line stand for drying up the clothes. The owner and their family showed hospitality and provided me with even a first aid kit. Really a wonderful experience. They helped in hiring a car for my Sringeri travel and even auto stand no for local travel.
