Summary: Had a nice relaxing weekend with family. Close to Mara Lake- beautiful beach. Nice to have two fridges with large group. Kids had fun playing outside!

Summary: This sweet cabin fit our family of six perfectly. It is charming, comfy and rustic, but also very spacious with massive bedrooms and beds to spare! The beds were very comfortable. However, it would have been great to have window coverings in the main large bedroom - the sun is up early in the summer and so it gets really bright in there. I happened to have an eye mask with me, so it didn't really bother me. The other upstairs bedroom is also large and has window coverings and an AC unit. Our four kids slept in that room, and were very happy and comfortable. The upstairs TV room area was super cozy to watch movies in at night. It is such a sweet space. The outdoor space was charming- it was a shame we couldn't have a fire because of the current fire bans. No matter - we still utilized the outdoor space for soccer, reading and relaxing in the evening. The kids also loved exploring the outdoor area. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes, etc. It is a spacious area and great to cook in! We wanted for nothing. The bathroom was small, but super well equipped - as a mom of four, I appreciated all the extra hooks and storage space. A fun perk was the poker table and vintage Punch Out game. Our kids had a blast playing Punch Out and learning how to play poker after long days at the beach and hiking. Dennis was friendly and accessible. We are so happy with our experience at his place and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet space tucked away from it all.

Summary: We booked a 5 course Shuswap golf package and this place was central to all of it and one of the most cost effective offers we found! Dennis was great with communication. The cabin was rustic, clean and served our purpose perfectly.

Summary: What a nice place to relax and unwind. Out in the middle of the woods it was so peaceful. We got a lot of snow one day and the kids all had so much fun sledding all day. We had an awesome bonfire in the pit, at night, in the snow! How fun! The cabin had more than enough beds for our group of 11. We thought it would be a problem with only one bathroom but it worked out just fine! We enjoyed hiking in the woods and coming back to a cozy wood stove. The kids had fun learning how to play poker and challenging each other to table hockey games. And it was nice to relax with a movie from Netflix in the cute upstairs tv room. We loved the rustic feel of it and enjoyed getting away from the daily grind. Dennis was very responsive with texting and very helpful! We're telling all our friends about it :-)

Summary: Perfect home base for our last minute trip to the Mara Lake region. The cabin was spacious and the property beautiful. It did appear as though a previous guest had a large party, as there was some leftover remnants of such around the property. Kitchen could use a thorough cleaning. Dog had a blast!

Summary: We had a great time at this cabin! Spent our days travelling the area and enjoyed dinner and games at the cabin during evenings and rainy days. Outdoor seating area was the most used area, what a blast. Massive dining table which turns into a poker table. Wood burning fireplace with cedar wood. Big fridge outside to save trips into the house for refreshments. Homeowner was friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable of the area. Gave us our space and was just a text away for any necessities. All in all, a great spot to call “home base” while touring the North Okanagan. Will definitely return, both winter and summer.

Summary: A great getaway to the mountains that provides peace and quiet and still close to tons of activities when you want them. Perfect to bring the dogs and explore the trails. Tons of space if you have a larger group. Bring your beach towels for day trips to Mara Lake. The provincial park is gorgeous for a daily dip.

Summary: The rental had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. The property owner was friendly and helpful. It was an easy, peaceful vacation. Easy to find, cute garden, fire pit and creek. We enjoyed it very much.

Summary: Our family of four (including a toddler and baby) ad well as grandparents had an amazing time here. The property is massive, allowing for great exploration. There is a hiking trail just behind the property as well. The outdoor fire pit was a great place to gather, as well as the games room, which allowed for nice dinners together away from the bugs. There was plenty of sleeping spaces and fans for the heat. The beds were comfortable and there was a playpen for our baby. The outdoor seating area, grill and fridge were our favourite part of the property. The kitchen has a lot of utensils and adequate plates, cups etc for everyone. We really enjoyed our stay, and loved how secluded we were yet how close we were to the lake. Will definitely return.
