Positive: We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Shellbraes Studio. It's in a great location easy to find just off the A68 near Corbridge - very handy for Hadrian's Wall, Hexham and attractions further afield in Tyneside and Northumberland. It was very clean and comfortable with everything you need if you want to self cater, or there's a good choice of places to eat out nearby if you prefer. The owners send you lots of info in advance which was very helpful. The wood burner kept us very cosy - a plentiful supply of fuel was provided which was much appreciated. I definitely recommend.
Negative: No criticisms - we are already booked to return later this year.

Positive: Super clean, cosy, warm. Great bed and bedding. Beautiful location - quite remote. Nice welcome pack inc milk in the (small) fridge. Great value. The
Negative: Bathroom is decent size but didn’t like small cloakroom basin. Also limited ability to spread out wet towels. We don’t usually stay in studios so was a bit alarmed that fridge noise would keep us awake but it was fine.

Negative: Complicated kettle which we had to ask how to use it! An airer or heated towel rail would help to dry out the very nice bath sheets after use

Positive: Comfortable, unusual, in fabulous surroundings everything we needed and more.
Negative: Only issue was getting in and out bath and slipping when in it. It’s needs some form of hand rail or bar. We are pensioners and had to improvise to overcome these issues.

Positive: My mum and I stayed at the Shellbraes Studio in Northumberland and it was absolutely gorgeous! The studio was so welcoming and homely, anything you could possibly need was equipped in the kitchen and it was spotless. It was so peaceful and we enjoyed being able to sit out and have our breakfast overlooking the fields. We used the studio mainly as a base as we were visiting spots around and it was in a good location.
