Summary: Four adult women stayed here for the weekend for a bike ride in Darien. It was a wonderful house with plenty of room and the sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. We relaxed around the fire pit in the evening. It was truly a wonderful weekend. We felt perfectly safe.

Summary: Great close location from Atlanta visiting the Golden Isles. We’re very glad to have found this place. Shelman’s Bluff is relaxed and timeless. And this house has a great marsh view and dock. At only 45 minutes from Sea Island it was a good place to stay for golfing there.

Summary: This was our second time visiting Shellman Bluff. House was nice and clean, once again. Kids had a great time fishing from the dock. We love coming here and making memories with the family.

Summary: I booked Clay's sportsman's paradise around Christmas as a gift for my brother, nieces and nephew (ages 15, 13, and 8). Our family is an outdoors family, and enjoy fishing, boating, hunting, etc., and this place was the perfect fit. Enough beds for everyone to have their own space and enough bathrooms for a couple teens. We cooked at the house including crab we caught off the dock. We caught a few sting rays and one whiting. The tide was really rough as we were there for the strawberry full moon in June 2022. We were prepared and brough flashlights and lanterns for the dock at night. Small children may need to be supervised closely as the long runway to the dock is not lit (however Clay tells me he has plans to run electricity and lights in the near future). The house awesome, large plank hardwood floors throughout, a well stocked kitchen, tv's in all room and the living room features a large curved flat screen. Outside the firepit would be great in cooler months, and the charcoal grill was all we needed to roast some corn, and grill some bacon wrapped shrimp we got locally. The wifi worked well, and the beds and linens were all comfortable and clean. We had day trips to St. Simons (about 40 minutes). Only word of caution is the grocery stores nearby close early (maybe even earlier than they advertise). For all the boy scouts out there who are prepared, this is the perfect place!

Summary: We had a great time staying here with our family for memorial day weekend. Love that we could park our boat and leave it at the dock right in front of the house. Very clean. We will definitely be stay here again. 😊

Summary: We enjoyed the spacious house & waterfront view. Comfortable beds, lots of bathrooms & options to eat either inside or out. The little covered back porch offered an escape from a few rainy days. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans & utensils plus a variety of spices. Soap, paper towels & tp were provided. Clay, the owner, was always quick to respond. It was a good home base for day trips to the Savannah area & as far south as Jekyll Island. Harris Neck NWR was only 15 minutes away & I birded there almost every day. Fresh & I mean really fresh shrimp & fish were available locally to cook at home or eat out - all at a very reasonable price. Being from the north, I wanted to open the windows & enjoy the spring weather, but there are no screens on the windows & they were definitely needed in March with biting gnats early & late in the day. Overall, we were very happy with our first time staying in the low country.
