Summary: Everything was easy: check in, temperature control, cooking, resting, and finding activities. Too cold for canoeing unfortunately, but we loved the view of the river nonetheless! Great for mountain goer's of all experience levels.

Summary: This was our Christmas gift to each other and my husband and I (and our dog!) loved staying at this cozy cabin while doing some hiking at Shenandoah NP. There was even a Christmas tree! The cabin was clean, comfortable and charming. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and cooking dinners each night in the kitchen. Despite it being a little chilly we enjoyed the porch and the fire pit. Our dog loved being able to swim in the river right on the property! We would love to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the outdoor spaces more. Thank for a great stay!

Summary: Everything was clean, outdoor aesthetics were wonderful. Just a few flying insects inside but they were dealt with very quickly and did not return. If you're not an outdoorsy type of person do not rent this property it is very secluded. But it's a wonderful place if you want to be secluded. My family and I had a great time. Oh yeah I think you have to use the method fly fish on the river... The river's moving too fast for regular fishing.

Summary: The owner, Derek, was able to manage our needs while helping with a nearby fire on the mountain. We were impressed at the level of dedication shown as we felt like he was very accomodating to our needs. We'd recommend this place for anyone that wants a quiet get-away.
