This beautiful cabin is located on the scenic Shenandoah riverfront minutes from Luray, Virginia. It is also located across the road from the George Washington National Forest. You can relax on the screened in gazebo, enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking or tube down the river, BBQ and picnic along the riverside, or hike the nearby trails of the George Washington National Forest. Truly a great place for a memorable vacation.
Completely renovated on the inside in 2015 and updated in 2021. The cabin has a FULLY stocked kitchen, bathroom, hardwood floors, and is painted throughout. We have adorned the living room with a 55-inch flat screen TV.

Summary: This cabin was the perfect place for our Thanksgiving getaway. It was very well stocked with everything we needed for cooking our Turkey dinner. Such a quaint cabin with comfortable beds and living area sofas to sit by the gas fireplace. We also enjoyed sitting outside by the firepit roasting marshmallows. Can't wait to come back again in warmer weather. Don't miss out on this gem!! by the fire

Summary: Location,location, location. What a nice timber beam house located right on the Shenandoah River. House has all the kitchen tools you would ever need . Very clean and comfortable . Charcoal grills , fire pit and a ton of firewood for all your outdoor adventures. Canoes , paddles , life jackets for those so inclined. Just wonderful.

Summary: This property is quite lovely! The location on the river is spectacular and the host has provided many thoughtful touches to make sure that your stay is easy. The kitchen is well equipped, and the furniture in the house is comfortable. Communication was good and we felt that the property was well represented online. The outside facilities and location are what you really go for! When we went, the guys in our group were able to wade out to waste deep or higher water and fish without any issue. Everyone had a great time and we very much enjoyed the fire pit at night. The walkway as well lit and there were special touches like motion lights that come on to keep you on path. I found this to be one of the better stocked VRBO kitchens and the refrigerator is quite spacious. The owner even provides two Britta water, which we definitely appreciated. The only real downside, if you could call it that that we found was that the location is somewhat remote so your Wi-Fi and cell service definitely are not what you would expect in town. There is a landline in case of an emergency. We discovered towards the end of our trip that if only one person was on the Wi-Fi, we were able to log onto our Netflix account and stream, but otherwise we had a lot of difficulty - apparently, the teenagers had too many devices! Just something to note if you’re taking a vacation where you expect to work or download files – even a zoom call might be a challenge. It is an absolutely adorable cabin!!!!

Summary: We came to relax and recharge at Shenandoah Shores waterfront cabin and the weekend did not disappoint. We expected snow but got rain, freezing rain, and sleet, but still the justification we needed to have a worry-free weekend. The indoor accommodations were cozy and comfortable with one of the best outfitted kitchens we have seen. The crafts and decorations throughout the home were a joy to view. And the river views and firepit on the shore gave us the calming respite that we needed. We have stayed on the river at other homes in early Fall, so I can imagine the summer river fun to be had with the available canoes and kayaks. The internet speed and range could be improved, since cell coverage is weak in this area. Future investment in a power generator would be wise. Our 7-hour power outage was not a major inconvenience, since the gas fireplace kept it warm in the living area. But I can imagine a difficult time for longer outages or on really cold or really hot days. We will definitely keep Shenandoah Shores on our list for the future.

Summary: We had a great time at this place. Everything in this house is well thought out. Great decoration and clean. Other than occasional buffer when watching Netflix, everything else was great. Sitting around the fire and watch the river is relaxing. We would come back again.
