Positive: If the distant location is not an issue, this is definitely the best location to view Mount Fuji. Thanks for offering us a room facing the mountain/lake.

Positive: We booked a room with a view of Mt Fuji and it was great. The food at the hotel was also reasonably priced and tasty. Staff was friendly. On the downside, if you come from Tokyo and you do not have a car it is tricky getting to and from the hotel as the bus does not run frequently and a taxi is expensive (around 10.000YEN).
Summary: Great views of Mt Fuji but public transport is not ideal.

Positive: The room we had was new with a view of mt Fuji and the lake. The food was good and affordable. The area is not busy with lot of tourists. You can chose between Japanese breakfast and the American breakfast. The American breakfast was a nice break from all the traditionnal breakfast we had. The onsen was clean and very hot. There is a Mt. Fuji gallery on the 3rd floor
Negative: The hotel was overall cold from bad insulation. A lot of people taking picture of the hotel because of the Japanese Netflix serie Hot Spot.
