Summary: The rooms need an update. No fans or air conditioning. Bed was very hard and slopping. Bathroom small without a fan and a very bad smell.

Summary: A beautiful view, but only one of our rooms had that. The other 3 rooms were on opposite side and with a not so great view.

Summary: The toilet doesn’t flush very well. It was backing up from the first use. Reported to the front desk and they sent help quickly to attend to it. The sheets weren’t spotless. You can tell that it was laundered and pressed but there were stains. The coffee/tea caddy could do with a good dusting/wipe. Fiona at the front desk was wonderful. So welcoming courteous and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately I was brought a cup of coffee when I asked for tea. Not a huge deal but a little attention could go a long way.

Summary: Checkin was late but Fiona was fantastic at keeping us informed. The room view BLEW us away! The service in the restaurant was ok and food was good.

Summary: Beautiful setting. Sheets were stained but good quality. They probably don’t use bleach. Carpet is very stained. Nice pillows. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Renovated bathroom. Very nice.

Summary: the location is in front of the sea. You can appreciate the sound of the sea waves. The problem is that it is not well served by buses to reach it. The breakfast is average. Good value for money.

Summary: The hotel is beautifully located on a beach and is within 20 minutes of the Dublin Airport. We were there on Mother's Day which happened to also be a beautiful, sunny day and so the hotel was VERY busy. We arrived a bit early and could not check in so walked the beach and enjoyed the day. We were then sent to our room and arrived to the smell of stale cigarette smoke and the previous guests fingernails on the carpet. There was no phone in the room to call down to the desk, so my travelling companion went down to be informed that there were no other rooms and a manager would be up to address our concerns. After a 40 minute wait, I went down and spoke again to the front desk clerk (she was delightful), who went in search of the manager again and informed me that they would be up in a moment. Waited another 20 minutes and went down again. This time I spoke directly to the manager she had spoken to and was informed a manager had just gone up. I returned to the room to find a manager who listened to our concerns and then offered us another room. It was an upgrade and had a view of the ocean, so we took it. In fairness to the staff, they were being run off their legs due to the high volume of people in the dining room and at the special Mother's Day tea, but the cleanliness of the room was of concern. We had dinner there and it was fine. Not a lot of choice, but again that may have been due to the holiday and not their normal fare. The hotel is in need of a refresh.
