Summary: I love staying at Short Stories - hands down my favorite LA hotel due to the cleanliness, vibe, friendly staff and proximity to great points of interest - the Grove, Beverly Hills, etc. Highly recommend!

Summary: The restaurant food is subperb the hotel is quaint private easy access and comfortable but again hotels.com false advertises late check out and upgrades to gold members because all the LA trips, San Diego and LV trips the past few months and others previously not once have those options been available!!!

Summary: The hotel is an updated motel. It's clean and the location is really good But no real amenities and only tea and coffee in the morning. The water for tea was luke warm and the milk was off. I went to trader joes close by and grabbed some juice and on the drive home grabbed some caffeine! okay for a quick overnight in LA, if you are staying any longer I would get a different place.

Summary: Very nice hotel. The rooms are nice and keep with the theme of Short Stories by having books throughout the room. Nicely decorated and clean. The location is everything! Within walking distance of shopping, food and entertainment. Its directly across the street from The Grove and farmers market. Trader Joes and Wholefoods are a 5 min walk from the hotel. The only complaint is the parking situation. No free parking, only valet parking available on property which is $45 a night.

Summary: Great stay -- this has become a favorite hotel for me. Location can't be beat, rooms are elegant and comfortable, and staff is friendly.

Summary: Rooms are adequate, but nothing more. The pool is so small it barely qualifies, and while the lounge area is pleasant, the absence of a proper restaurant is a clear drawback. Service is noticeably below expectations. It feels as if the California hospitality standard has drifted far from what one associates with the US at its best. Worth considering only if location is your top priority.
