Positive: To add some balance, There are some amazing features and the photos do perfectly reflect the property. You can tell the fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality, the flooring, sliding doors and soft furnishings all complement an elegant design. The underground car park appears closed in but comfortably accommodates large SUV’s (We had a Nissan Qashqai). The AC is silent enough to run through the night, Everything feels and looks brand new you just get the sense that these are amazing properties.
Negative: Let me start by saying this is an amazing apartment and we would 100% stay again….BUT! If you are used to staying in an AirBnB, then this where this apartment falls short. Your contact who you would expect to be the host, did not act in the way you would want or expect a contact to act. We had not messages from the point payment was made up until we had asked on the morning of our arrival for access codes and instructions on how to get into the property. A minor point for concern but it didn’t fill us with any comfort that we were expected. Once we gained entry and picked our jaws off the floor at the beauty of this place, we started to notice little things that considering the price compared to other properties you would expect just to be in place. See summary below. Our host didn’t seem to engage much at all and when asked about acquiring more towels we were not met with an apology, only a statement saying “I’m not in the city and the cleaner said she left enough”. I’m sorry but if I’m telling you we don’t have enough towels, then we need more towels! So when we queried the lack of toilet paper and got radio silence, we quickly accepted that this remote host was not going be as attentive or helpful as we have been accustomed to at previous Airbnbs. Kitchen - [ ] No chopping board - [ ] Mini step stool required for accessing full height of kitchen cupboards - [ ] Coffee machine provided but no sample coffee pods - [ ] Empty salt grinder (likely left by previous inhabitants) but no generic sundries for us - [ ] Floors not hovered or swept as we saw a few dead bugs upon arrival. Master Suite - [ ] Below minimum expectations for toilet roll (less than half a roll with no spares) - [ ] Broken door on master suite (sliding panel is off guide rails) which was reported immediately but no one came to fix.
Summary: As I said at the beginning, we would definitely come back, just with very much dialled down expectations. Such a shame….
