Positive: Location is good since it is right in downtown Silverton close to shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
Negative: Where do I start? First, the room was small - not much bigger than a standard (not a master) bedroom. It has only 1 chair that was broken down so uncomfortable for sitting. The cooling system was difficult to figure out since there was a thermostat on the wall but this was just for heat. The AC unit was in the wall and I did find some buttons I could push on the unit for cooling. But it ran constantly when on and was LOUD! The bath is small with little area to put your toiletries. The tub was SLIPPERY and no mat to put down. Adjusting water temperature in the shower was hard since it was just the opposite of usual hot/cold adjustments. The TV was a nightmare. They just installed an upgraded system and even the staff had trouble figuring out how to get to anything. I left early since I was done doing what I came to the area for and I didn't want to spend another night in the room. Not worth the $$.

Positive: Exterior was very cute. Interior did not meet the same level of cuteness. Beds were decently comfortable. TV was good size and worked well. Seemed very clean. Surprised by massaging recliner.
Negative: Quilts on beds were far too thin for the time of year, so had to use extra blankets from the closet. Heating unit was very loud and vibrated when running. Bathroom only had pedestal sink so no counter space. No lid for toilet seat. Water in bath sink was only a minimal stream and would not get hot. Kitchenette sink also had barely any water pressure and only got hot after running for several minutes. Staff was loudly rolling trash cans around outside for quite a while at a late hour (10:00pm).
Summary: Cute exterior but not worth the stay.

Positive: The Silverton Inn has a beautiful exterior and is located in the heart of downtown.
Negative: Our room was in need of updating/upgrading and just simple maintenance. The wall clock didn’t work, a lightbulb in the bathroom was burned out, the hot water was just a trickle (though the cold water flowed well), the smart TV was difficult to operate with long delays before the next channel appeared when the channel was changed, at times the TV picture and sound were 10 or more seconds out of sync, and the finish on the nightstand was old and peeling.
Summary: Nice exterior, disappointing once in our room.
