Summary: The location was waaaaaay out of town. It’s about as south and as west as is possible and still called Calgary. The area is strictly residential, the only amenity available within walking distance is the walking path, which is actually quite nice and well groomed. The unit is a basement suite with access via stairs around the side of the house. The unit was very clean, however there was baby stuff set up, which was odd. I put them out of the way in the laundry room. The unit is very clean however there was what looks like a moving blanket covering the sofa, which I found very unappealing. On the coffee table is a set of rules, which is common, however these rules were more like directions on how not to use certain things and some chores to do before leaving such as strip the bed, wash dishes, no outside shoes, don’t remove the sofa cover, using the microwave, fridge, bathroom. Suggest to change the wording to be more helpful rather than directional. There was also a 3 page checklist that asked the patron to complete an inspection of the unit to verify no damage was incurred during the The unit above is not sound proof at all. The child above was doing normal 4-5 year old stuff, unfortunately that involved a lot of stomping, screaming and having a great time. That’s ok, I prefer it wasn’t on my dime. I could also hear the parents talking, I will say they are loud talkers. The bed was comfortable, but the heat vent blows directly down into the bed.

Summary: The apartment was extremely clean and well appointed - it had everything you could possibly need, including small kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. The only complaint about the space would be that the bathroom (and especially the vanity) is tiny - I stayed there alone so it was fine but it would be very hard for a family to share. However, the host asked me to complete a three page checklist immediately upon checkin certifying the condition of EVERYTHING in the apartment when I moved in. When I protested that I couldn’t certify the condition, having not yet used everything, he offered to come down to help me check (which I refused). I found this strange and was concerned that if I did encounter any issues during my stay, I’d be held responsible for them rather than being helped to resolve them. Ultimately I didn’t have any issues but I really didn’t appreciate this. There was also an alarm on the door to the utility room and electrical cabinet, to prevent guest access to these areas, which is fine, but the alarm went off during my stay when I had not touched either of these doors, and it was very disruptive. There are also young kids in the house upstairs so there was sometimes a lot of noise coming from the upper floors.

Summary: The property is located in a quiet suburb away from the downtown. The C-train station is a 5 minute drive away. The unit is well appointed with every convenience you might need and the hosts are easy to contact. We would recommend this unit to anyone for a short or a long stay in Calgary.

Summary: This was a nice, clean suite in a safe neighbourhood. It had everything we needed, including lots of towels and extra bedding. It was also great to have a parking spot in the house’s driveway. Unfortunately, we had a really negative check-in experience: we had been delayed due to severe weather and arrived late at night—then couldn’t find a place to enter the key code we’d been give. We tried texting, calling and even ringing the doorbell but received no reply (until the following day). Finally, we figured out how to use a concealed key pad at the back of the house (down some very snowy steps!). After we got inside, everything was fine.
