3 Bedroom Cottage in Dugspur

The Knoll Cottage is surrounded by acres of tranquil farmland, with woods and streams. East and west-facing porches overlook uninterrupted pastoral views=. Downstairs includes living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with queen size bed. Upstairs there are two delightful bedrooms under the eaves. One room has twin beds, the other a double.
The cottage is situated on 170 acres of farmland which includes pastures, woodlands, and two ponds. With this additional land, we have added a glamping tent and a replica of a gypsy caravan. All three are secluded from each other.
Growing up, I was privileged to spend time at my families gypsy caravan back in the UK. It was situated in the countryside outside of London, where we lived. The experience of leaving the city to the freedom of the countryside and the enjoyment of nature inspired me to make our land a place of retreat.
We welcome guests and encourage them to explore and walk the trails. To sit at spots along the way and absorb the surroundings. There will be no sounds of traffic, just those of nature. (Water in the brooks, birdsongs, cattle, and sheep). Nighttime brings pitch-black darkness, no ambient light to distract from the wonder of stargazing.
Our wish is that people in need of a break discover our place (the Lee Farm). Many have found us and returned time after time. The cottage, glamping tent, gypsy caravan are listed individually. Booked together, they provide a desirable destination for family gatherings. This is an ideal situation where parents can relax and children are safe to explore.

Summary: Our stay in this cottage was perfect. The picturesque setting was amazing and we enjoyed interacting with our bird and cow neighbors. There are lots of trails that we enjoyed exploring on our host’s property. Summary: Well the reviews are all correct..this is a SPECIAL place...the cottage was just perfect and the special touches included fresh cut flowers in the rooms and fresh cake ( yum!) and all the special decorations in each room..beautiful!..Our hosts were super and very welcoming! just a real pleasure to chat with ! The property was amazing with the adorable gates and archway leading from the woods into the field with the gypsy wagon and pond. The kids really enjoyed fishing and exploring the woods and fields and didnt want to leave...now that is awesome in itself because they normally like to be online..but not here..they wanted to be outside! Our parents came to visit one afternoon and they loved the place too....we cant wait to come back! because we didnt want to leave...its that special... Thanks Theresa! your and your hubby are top notch people. We wish you all the best..

Summary: Wow!....just WOW... sums it up best. Photos do not do it justice. Cute 100yr+ old basic farmhouse. It is just like grandma's house when visiting while growing up in the 1960's. No traffic noise as it out in the country away from everthing. No cell service but T-mobile. No wifi. No a/c but the breeze through windows on all sides since it is on a hilltop. No phone. No distractions. TV with several DVD's and books available. About a quarter mile long gravel/grassy driveway meanders up through a cow field with 2 cattle gates, old barns and fences to get to the house. Long range country living views surround the little house on all sides. Cattle right outside the fence are relaxing to watch. Deer abound as well as bunnies, groundhogs, birds and many other critters. Well tended flower gardens are fragrant and soothing. This is real old school country living with the nicest of hosts.
