This cabin/home is owner/operated on a 6 acre private estate. Randy and Bonnie have been renting this mountain home for over 20 years to countless winter and summer activity enthusiasts. The Mountain Home is excellent for a larger group of discerning adults or for a family get away. Vaulted ceilings throughout and dramatic views of the private pristine surroundings, it is very unique and receives personal attention from Randy and Bonnie.
The Mountain Home has a large 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom layout with vaulted ceilings and jetted tubs throughout, rock floors and marble tub surrounds compliment this spacious western style modern home.
The Home is also within walking distance of Brighton Ski Resort and the Solitude Nordic Center. The Nordic Center offers great snow shoeing and cross county skiing as well as a shuttle to and from Solitude Ski Resort which is about 2 miles down the canyon. In all seasons this wonderful place has much to offer, mountain biking, mountain climbing, hiking, fishing and wildlife watching just to name a few. This peaceful get away will be a place you will want to return to again and again.

Summary: The Gordon Lodge provided a great place to rest after long days of skiing. The property manager was very accessible and the team of folks who helped to maintain the grounds and clear snow were amazing. They were also very useful with suggestions for things to do locally and shared access to sleds and snowshoes with us. We had hoped that it would be more of a ski in and ski out location. Because we have skiers that are beginner and intermediate, the cabin was not accessible as a ski in because the access for the cabin was off of an expert level trail through the backcountry and we were there during epic snowfall. The walkout was also a bit long carrying gear for the kids, but would be reasonable for adults. The house was very comfortable. It is a bit dated but the kitchen was well stocked.The upstairs Loft bedroom was a bit chilly and the stairs to access it were more of a ladder which did not work for little kids. The beds were very comfortable and the heated floors were very nice. We ended up driving over to Brighton and Solitude just to make it easier instead of walking or grabbing the shuttle which was not too far away. If you are looking for a place to stay and you love Brighton then this is a great find.

Summary: Randy and Bonnie have it made with this place: spacious, strong woodstove, snowshoes and sleds for the backyard. Walking to Brighton or using the bus shuttle to Solitude saved us on traffic. Could ski back home from Brighton or the backcountry straight to home.

Summary: The cabin is a short walk to Brighton and right up the road from Solitude. It’s in a great location and Bonnie was a terrific host as well. She made check in a breeze and had great communication. I would absolutely recommend staying here and will definitely be back again! Thanks Bonnie!

Summary: Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The house was an older cabin but it was comfortable and clean. The floors had amazing radiant heating that kept the house warm without drying out the air. The location is amazing although it could be hard to find in the dark so look at google streetview to prepare before coming. The mountain is walking distance but could be hard for littles carrying ski but there is a shuttle at the lower lot you can take. There is a caretaker on premises who is extremely helpful and cleared the snow early every morning, carried up wood for the fire, brought us additional propane for the grill, he snowplowed a sledding track for our kids in two feet of powder, and was all around helpful. The home is large and handled our two families well. It is definitely nice to walk past all the traffic coming from Salt Lake. We heard people had spent 2+ hours trying to drive up the canyon. We would definitely rent again.

Summary: We had an awesome time for our family ski trip. Accommodation was great. Plenty of room for 7 adults and 2 kids. The hot tub after snowboarding all day was perfect. Plenty of room for kids to play during the day. Only issue would be that it’s not a ski out. Had to make a 8-10 minute walk to Brighton center but it was easy ans the skin back in was awesome. We will come back again for sure

Summary: We loved the house! It was really comfortable and so close to Brighton. It had more than enough space for our two families of three. We definitely enjoyed having the woodstove and the hot tub. Randy & Liam were both proactive & responsive with their communication, making it easy for us.

Summary: The cabin had all of the ideal amenities of nearly on mountain rental. We were able to access the mountain easily, as well as enjoy the hot tub and backyard of the property. We hope to stay here again!
