Positive: Skomakerhuset is just by Rokosjøen Lake, near Løten. The location is stunning, unspoilt and tranquil, and there’s a little jetty to aid swimming in the lake just outside the house, as well as a pedalo, and other games. The house itself has plenty of space for a family, and has all the facilities needed for a very easy holiday. The bathrooms are smart, the shower is great - there’s plenty of hot water - and the beds are very comfortable.

Negative: Nothing to add - it really surpassed my expectations.

Positive: Right in front of a pretty lake. The house is super clean. The host is really helpful.

Negative: 2 double beds were excellent. The 3rd double bad requires improvement or replacement. There's no nearby supermarket (as per our search)

Positive: A lovely well equipped cottage surrounded by nature. Good place to relax overnight when travelling between Oslo and Røros. It is about 15 mins to Elverum town. The house is on a beautiful lake shore with a lovely garden and forest. A logging/wood factory is nearby but at the property you don’t notice it. I enjoyed birdwatching on the lake which had geese, cranes and black throated divers. The enclosed porch area with great lounge chairs means the views can be enjoyed whatever the weather! Beautiful fireplace for winter. Also great power shower. Hope to come back sometime.
