Positive: Beautiful quaint rustic property. Perfect for overnight or quite few days in the countryside. Perfect for hiking, golf and family time. Wonderful breakfast, service and surroundings. Home grown organic food was perfect.
Negative: Needs a fresh coat of paint in the cabin we stayed in. Bathroom and main room needs renovation. Mould covering main part of ceiling was unsightly but also unhealthy. Bathroom needs painting. Better information about facilities available.

Positive: Goeteborg is fast accessible by car. Skars Gard is pleasantly placed outside so you can visit Goeteborg and relax in the evenings. The 5 bedroom cabin is sufficiently spacy for a couple of days with family. A reasonable price (related to Goeteborg). They also have a restaurant and delicious ice cream. Restaurants menu options were limitated (crepes and waffles) but delicious. But proeblem is time of attention. Just lunchtime (I think 12:00 to 15:00 and waffles a bit longer but a bit unsure about exact times). So if you return from an excursion there won't be the option to eat there. And we have been there in Midsummer so I don't think it is opened longer in other periods...
Negative: The number of the cabin is not presented on booking.com. But it talks about a 4 bed room or a 6 bed room on the website but in reality it is a 5 bed room or a 4 bed room but you are unable to distinguish which you choose. And you are normally in summer not able to negotiate for different cabin there. Just by booking.com Breakfast is served very late (9:00 h) so it is pretty late to leave. You have to cook in the outside. All basic is there. But it is more like camping than like hostel. Cleaniness differs - in the kitchen also as in the rooms... No internet connection in the cabins (with juveniles a bit difficult).
Summary: A pleasant place, basic comodity, cheap alternative to stay when visiting Goeteborg (and it is near)
