Welcome to our serene mountain retreat, a perfect setting for a memorable family getaway or a private gathering with friends. As a private residential property, we maintain a peaceful and quiet environment for all of our guests and neighbors. Our home comfortably sleeps 23 guests, with a total gathering capacity of 40 people on site at any time. We ask that all guests respect our community's residential nature. This unique, remarkable home is set on 35 tranquil acres on Gibson’s Ridge, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The primary home consists of six bedrooms, seven and a half baths, thirteen rooms in total, and is a short walk to the historic town of Crested Butte.
The home abounds with warmth, quality, and distinction. You’ll find an extraordinary, lofty great room with ample windows, breathtaking views, and a two-story natural rock fireplace. The great room seamlessly flows into the dining area, which opens to a large stone terrace with a built-in fire pit, outdoor dining space, landscaped gardens, and a hot tub. The full-featured kitchen with high-end Thermador appliances and reclaimed antique hewn beams is perfect for preparing group meals.
The main level also includes a game room with a pool table, full bar, and a home theater with a Sonus Fabre sound system. Beyond this, there is a second master bedroom with a private entrance, a queen-sized Murphy bed, jacuzzi tub, and rain shower. Guests can also enjoy the exercise room, a steam room, a boot room, and a locker room with four custom-built spaces to organize gear.
On the upper level, there are five en-suite bedrooms, including a spacious 740 sq. ft. master suite with a sitting area, office, natural rock fireplace, and deck. Kids or adults will enjoy the massive five-bed bunk room with an adjoining deck.
A recently completed 1,300 sq. ft. two-bedroom condo is available for your stay. Located just 50 feet from the main house, it features a full kitchen, steam room, two bathrooms, and a massive private balcony with incredible views.
No expense was spared on the high-end sound system throughout the property. You’ll find multiple outdoor speakers and subwoofers surrounding the rustic outdoor fire pit, alfresco dining space, back patio, and hot tub. The multi-purpose space is a highlight, offering a state-of-the-art sound system and a laser lighting system for an elevated evening. This versatile room can also be used as a yoga room, a playroom, or an additional dining space.
The on-site pond, healthy with bass, can be used for catch-and-release fly fishing or stand-up paddle boarding. Neighboring access to the Green Lake trail connects you to the largest single-track system in the U.S.
The home has been called "the Ashram"—restorative and peaceful, yet with an atmosphere that can be enjoyed to the fullest.
If your soul is seeking something big, wild, and spacious, Crested Butte is the place to get it, and "The Big Mine" is the perfect vantage point.
We are year-round residents and have a full-time property manager available for any property-related needs or issues during your stay.

Summary: We are so grateful to have stayed at Theresa and Ian’s stunning home for our intimate family wedding this April. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how thoughtfully designed and welcoming the space is. The common areas are spacious and beautifully appointed with artistic touches and a connected speaker system for music throughout, and the location simply can’t be beat—the views of Crested Butte and the surrounding mountains are absolutely breathtaking.Theresa was warm, responsive, and helpful throughout our planning process and during our stay, which made everything seamless and stress-free. We truly felt at home and were genuinely sad to leave.One of our favorite features of the house was the incredible sunroom—it comfortably hosted all 22 of us for our wedding dinner, complete with custom lights and panoramic mountain views. It was magical.This home was the perfect setting for such a special occasion. We can’t recommend it highly enough and hope to return someday!

Summary: What an amazing property!!! My husband and I had a magical mini-wedding here at the end of March. The home had everything we dreamed of and more! The property comfortably housed our bridal party of 16. We woke to a surprise snowstorm on our ceremony day - 6-8 fresh inches with no sign of stopping. Eric, the property manager, quickly got the driveway and patio cleared for us. We had a lovely, snowy outdoor ceremony on the patio. The house never felt crowded or empty for our total group of 25 on ceremony day. Our guests mingled by the bar, played casual games of pool, and entertained themselves with karaoke and puzzles throughout the weekend. The kitchen was well appointed and the large fridge was able to contain all of our food supplies. The views and setting are phenomenal. A few of our guests ventured into town on foot and said the walk wasn’t bad, even in the snow! We had a minor issue one night when a humidifier in a bedroom set off a fire alarm at 5am. Thankfully, the alarm pads are well labeled with information on what to do, and both the property manager and CB Fire Department showed up quickly to diagnose the issue and put our fears to rest. One logistical note: do take into account the configuration of beds/rooms as you plan for your group - we originally hoped to house our entire wedding in the home but ultimately limited it to the bridal party only due to the arrangement of beds/bunks to bathrooms.

Summary: We loved our stay in CB! This home was a great fit for our family, 4 couples and a baby. It was nice that each bedroom had an ensuite bathroom. We loved the game room, theater room, steam room and hot tub! Made many meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The team was really responsive to all of our questions and requests and the home was gorgeously appointed and cared for. A solid 15 minute walk to town in the winter, but do-able.

Summary: Our family all gathered together for my mom’sbirthday celebration/reunion. The house provided us places to gather but gave everyone their own space when needed. The house is amazing and really has everything you need and so much more. It snowed heavily before we got there and it was magical, but the driveway was always plowed. Amazing stay in Crested Butte.

Summary: It was absolutely amazing! My family of 18 people spent Christmas in Creste Butte. Teresa was so kind and made sure that everything was wonderful for us. My communication with her was great. She answered any questions that anyone in my family had. Eric, the property manager, was really nice and so helpful with anything we needed. He even towed my brothers vehicle when he got stuck in the snow. The location is great! You feel secluded but you are actually just outside of Creste Butte. The house is amazing. It has everything you need in the kitchen and lots of toys for the kids to play with. We could not have picked a better house to spend our Christmas!

Summary: This was a very good property, the houses are gorgeous and super comfortable and clean. It did not lack one thing. Kitchen well equipped and stocked with spices etc. we watched movies, played pool, skied and sledded. Awesome trip and property. The hosts were were very helpful and gracious as was property manager

Summary: We booked this beautiful home about 10 months prior to our small elopement style wedding. It provided the most beautiful views of Mt Crested Butte which made for some EPIC photos. The whole experience was magical and the house had so much to offer each and every guest. From the hot tub, to the gym, steam room, oxygen machine, theater room, and the most perfect outdoor fire pit, this home had it all. We were wanting a space for our closest family and friends to gather for our intimate wedding and we couldn't have chose a more perfect place. It had an elegant cabin feel that wrapped everyone up in it's mountain charm. We even were able to say our vows on the property under the vibrant yellow aspens during peak foliage weekend! We are so grateful for Ian & Teresa for sharing their home and everyone else who helped make our stay so memorable.

Summary: Our stay at this VRBO for a week with family and friends to celebrate our wedding was truly unforgettable. The house exceeded all expectations, offering stunning, panoramic views of Crested Butte Mountain from multiple rooms throughout the property. Its combination of beauty and functionality made it perfect for our event—we used everything from the theater room to the pool table room, the hot tub, and the fire pit. Despite being just minutes from the main street in Crested Butte, the house felt secluded, quiet, and completely private.
