Summary: This is a beautiful house, appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Our family of three plus dog needed to visit a consulate in Calgary. Since we were driving over from another province, we decided to take a couple of extra days to enjoy the city. The house was so close to downtown that it was much quicker and easier to walk there than drive! The house has bright and open living spaces with a well-equipped kitchen. The fenced back yard was perfect for our dog. Two blocks brought us to a lovely dog park, with stunning views of downtown and the riverbank area; we returned each evening to enjoy the city lights. There are many more parks and riverbank areas within an easy walk. Just steps away (my phone told me 50m!) is the Tigerstedt historic block of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the lovely Japanese items in the Tigerstedt Flea Market, coffee from Sought and Found, microbrew at Two Pillars, and ramen from the Tokyo Street Market. Despite being so close to everything, the house is nestled in a lovely leafy street and is very quiet. Alice was the perfect host in responding to our questions. We loved the home, and hope to return soon; we hope you love it too!

Summary: Clean, renovated property in central Calgary location. New hardwood floors throughout, a well equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, lots of natural light, a very comfortable bed and quiet neighbourhood with ample street parking right in front of the house make this property an excellent home base to explore Calgary. Restaurant, pub, coffee shop are less than a 5 minute walk from the front door. Scenic Bow Valley walking trails and Prince’s Island are a short 15 minute walk. Excellent value, we look forward to staying here again when we next visit Calgary.

Summary: Stayed at this property while our home was being renovated. When we first arrived the weather was cool and rainy; we were really happy to have the beautiful gas fireplace in the main room. Then the 2021 heat wave hit and the property owner had an air conditioner in on day 2!! Throughout our stay we were aware that the owner was there to support us which was appreciated. Now, it is an older home and there are some unique quirks. The kitchen is well equipped (I love cooking) but awkward. Don't worry, you will get used to it. The 2nd room, which we comfortably used as an office, has a patio door out to the sizeable back yard, which our dogs really appreciated. The main bedroom is not large but given the size of the rest of the space we never felt confined even during the pandemic and heat wave. This is a great location to explore the city. Lots of interesting restaurants from practically next door (but not too close) to a short walk away. Rotary park, one of the great city parks with spectacular views and off-leash for the dogs, is a couple minutes away. In less than 15 minutes you can be on Prince's Island. We left the car behind whenever we could, which was most of the time. Nice. Hopefully the photos on the website will be updated to better reflect the space because there is much more than what is seen here. I would recommend this accommodation for longer-term stays as it will provide a comfortable base to explore from and you will be taken care of. If you have dogs, as we do, the yard and nearby dog park will meet with the dog's approval.

Summary: What a lovely oasis. The house is bright and roomy with interesting personal touches, well stocked and Alice was quick to answer my texts and calls and help me however she could. So close (walking distance) to amazing restaurants and interesting stores. I loved sitting in the patio door room looking out into the backyard. Birds, flowers, trees and even a view of the tops of downtown high rises through the the many trees of this historic old neighborhood. Centrally located to major roadways to get where you want in this large city. I could go on and on … thanks!
