You can enjoy the ambience of lake life, including boating, fishing, kayaking, cooking smores on the outdoor firepit, or just relaxing on the huge deck with a gorgeous view of the lake. The fishing at the lake is amazing and is filled with a variety of fish, including : Bluegill, Bass, Crappie, Pike, Catfish, Dogfish and Perch. Explore the lake with the two kayaks provided.
The view is absolutely beautiful from the deck overlooking the lake. Enjoy the scenery and beautiful wildlife including geese, ducks, swans, cranes, turtles, and even the occasional Bald Eagle!
There are many restaurants and breweries very close to the lake. The city of Kalamazoo is only 8 miles away with cute stores, restaurants, a few wineries and a distillery. Or travel to Paw Paw for the wineries about 25 miles from the house. Summary: The house was great!! It was Super clean and you had everything you would need in the kitchen. We loved all the board games. I wish the weather was a little better but the fall colors were amazing. It was perfect for our fall staycation. So many restaurants, breweries and we loved the Air Zoo. The owners were great to communicate with and very quick with replies. Definitely would recommend. We definitely want to come back this summer.

Summary: This was a great option as we visited our daughter at WMU. Just a 20 minute drive from campus with lots of good restaurants nearby. Owners were communicative and helpful. Loved being able to enjoy the view of the lake.

Summary: Deb was a fabulous host. The house was everything we had hoped it would be. Pictures are accurate. We especially enjoyed our time outside on the deck. In close proximity to restaurants, stores, and activities. Would visit again.

Summary: Had a great time loved the black squirrels, enjoyed the kayaks and pontoon,nice Casino’s a short drive away, could use a cover over the deck and a washer and dryer, I’m sure we will be going back in the future,very slow paced and relaxing

Summary: We had everything we needed! The cottage was well stocked and very clean. The water had slight sulfur smell, but the owners provided a great bottled water dispenser. We rented the pontoon boat which was great for exploring the lake and fishing.

Summary: This adorable little cottage is absolutely wonderful! The kitchen is well stocked as are linens and the beds are very comfortable! Furniture is comfortable and ample inside and out, and the owners have really thought of everything! Owners are easy to reach with any concerns (we didn’t have any). Fishing off the dock and pontoon was loads of fun and cruising around on the lake was relaxing and refreshing. We had such a fabulous time, everyone was sad to leave! We’ll be back again!!

Summary: Overall was perfect vacation, beautiful property as described. Wonderful weather and very nice inside and out, owners were quick to respond to any needs. They even supplied wood for the outdoor pit. Would stay here again for certain.

Summary: This was a perfect place for our small group. Everything was as described, very clean, well appointed. Rooms were of good size, internet was good, great big deck with a nice grill. The use of the pontoon was a huge plus, and the fishing on the lack was good. Caught bluegill, small mouth bass, pike (and a dog fish). One thing I would highly recommend is bringing your own tail gate type tent to put on the deck. We brought one and it made a huge difference in being able to be outside whether it was rain or sun. Otherwise, there is no protection from the elements out on the deck. All in all, we give it an A+

Summary: Stayed two weeks at this very clean, cute and charming cottage. Had all the amenities of home as well as large deck, beautiful view of lake, and in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Owners very responsive when needed to contact. Loved that it had king bed and air conditioning. Did not use pontoon boat but probably would have enhanced enjoyment. Would highly recommend
