Positive: The hotel was happy to accommodate our late arrival and a later departure
Negative: The breakfast was adequate and the service functionary and a little dispassionate but I guess it is the end of the season and they are probably over the tourists but it is an expensive stay and equally a special event for those at the beginning of the season as at the end. The desk in the bedroom was a little shaky and the tea facilities were a little tired.
Summary: They performed the service requested and the rooms were clean and well presented

Positive: The room was great, including the bathroom facilities. I really loved the shower! A fan really would have been nice, as we couldn't really keep the window open too far due to how many midges were around. The breakfast was delicious but very slow for the ordered breakfast beyond the continental. The rooms were updated but it seemed like some of the common spaces could use a refresh as well. I was expecting a much more polished hotel for the price but I think it was the area and scarcity of availability that drove the pricing.
Negative: A fan being offered in the room would have been great. Also, the front desk staff check-in was slightly awkward as I wasn't sure we had completed and done everything needed, then two staff members were talking about time off, etc. I felt they could have waited, as I felt like a nuisance or that I shouldn't have been standing there while they had this conversation.

Positive: The staff!!!!! They were amazing - so friendly and helpful
Negative: The hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade - the bedroom was lovely but the windows didn’t open and it got really warm. The fan in the bathroom wasn’t working so the bedroom got really steamy when the shower was on. The television only showed two channels and kept saying the others didn’t exist! Considering how much it was - price wise - to stay, we expected more

Positive: Single room for first night was fine - spacious, new modern bathroom, tea/coffee facilities, hanging space, plenty of space for suitcase. Very small tv, hung on bracket on wall opposite to bed - very odd arrangement.
Negative: Double room on second night - supposedly a superior but it was lower quality overall, than the single room. Old, shabby bathroom, limited storage space, nowhere for suitcase. Crazy expensive for substandard room. Also, be aware - difficult access to first, single room, with large suitcase - no lift, stairs. And then another staircase to second bedroom also no lift.
Summary: Location is great for the whole island, but the accommodation is mixed in terms of quality.

Positive: Boutique hotel in iconic location. Staff were superb. Food was great. I've been a few times.
Negative: Go after March when Seumas's bar is open, it's really good.

Positive: Clean, comfortable, warm room with breath taking views. Bath with shower and plenty of hot water, the evening meals were very good and breakfast was exceptional along with the staff who were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
