My place in Addison is 15 minutes away from O'Hare airport and 25 min from Midway airport ( no traffic) . Within 500 feet (walking distance) Target with groceries.
In the House you will have access to: 75 inch TV, 4k Projector (located in the basement), desktop PC computer with 2 monitors, wireless 5Ghz internet, Alexa in every room which also controls lights, steam shower, 650 sf wooden deck with natural gas grill, gazebo, sound system, and sink on the deck with hot and cold water.
For my quests I provide passenger car , sedan Hyundai Elantra Limited 2014. Starting June 1st 2021 I will add 24 feet round pool with a wooden deck .
The property has 5 security cameras 3 outside and 2 outside. For guests privacy I covered the lenses on those 2 cameras inside the property.
2 inside are in the living room on the first floor looking from the side to the side entrance and couch with the TV, second one is in the basement watching stairs and couch for watching TV.
Those 2 inside cameras have covered lenses ( nothing can be seen through them). Three outside cameras are recording , and they are watching:. main street (front of the house), south side of the house , backyard. You have the monitor to see all views.
On demand I can turn off the system during your stay. If you are from Chicago or suburbs I am not allowing any visitors . The property is in quiet neighborhood and parties are not allowed. Bringing more guests than allowed is a breach in the contract. Remaining nights will be canceled . Thank you for understanding.

Summary: Property was VERY rough on the outside. Trash ALL OVER the driveway area, and front steps a massive tripping hazard. Inside there were lots of cracks and patched walls and ceilings. A lot of the 'tech' doesn't function quite right, and the security cameras inside the house are just flat out creepy.

Summary: We rented a so called “Smart Home” in Addison, Illinois. Paid top dollar; with fees, almost $600 a day. Billed as a home that operated by giving commands to Alexa, stating Alexa controlled the lights and many other functions...just ask her. Use Alexa at home, so am familiar. I do not have to set up her capabilities when I arrive home. Once set up, she can do the lights, the vacuum, and any number of things you program her to do. Check in was horrendous. Never experienced anything like it. No instructions or code sent ahead of arrival! Owner had to unlock it with his cell phone. Left us unable to lock the house for 2 days. Contacted the owner through VRBO email day before, again the day of, for acces to get into property. No response with a code, a link or directions to get in, in advance. 3 women in a Chicago area residence, bumped up against backside of Target on a dead end street, not being able to get into their rental - not a good feeling. Owner had no phone number on the VRBO site. No mention you needed a smart phone app for entry.. He will say we were not tech savy, but my daughter is extrememly so! My first review so long, it would not fit, but other concerns were a side door that could not be locked as you leave out of it, a batheroom vent hole with no cover that tripped me to discover, simply covered by a throw rug, lack of privacy on pool deck - constant cameras monitoring it, nondecript unappeling exterior, overall impression of the home very poor, no landscaping, broken toys, debris and overgrowth in yard, and an owner who tends to be rude and blame everyone else for his lack of responsibility. I paid $2390.00 for 4 nights! IAlso said a car was included in the price, once inside on a flyer that was only for out of state guests and must be requested in advance. So much false advertisement in the description of this property. There were things we loved inside like kitchen, TV, and bathrooms, but there were many unsafe things : uneven stone front porch, wobbly leaning rail, low ceiling fan clipped my granddaughters hand, stains on carpet.... I feel grossly taken advantage of with the protrayal and the actual reality of this place.,certainly not what one would expect for the price. Never again. My reviews normally reflect the positive with a suggestion or two. I regret this experience. Will not repeat it. Still feel he should refund money for lack of the car supposedly included with the price!,. Have pics to support

Summary: My friends and I stayed in this place for long weekend and we had a great experience. The house is spacious, clean, and has everything provided. The only issue was the location of the property. It took us literally 30 mins to find the place after reaching that street. On your map, it shows a different location. Call/text the owner for directions if you’re stuck finding the property. But apart from that, it was a good experience! Definitely recommend!

Summary: The house was big and had plenty of room to sleep with groups or large families like mine. Very modern. Fun for the kids.

Summary: The original listing description for this place at the time of booking was misleading and never mentioned the amount of rules and surveillance that would take place at the property. It wasn't until the day before arrival did I see a new description, listing an unsettling amount of surveillance camera angles that would be watching the property and my guests. By then, any options to be reimbursed for cancelling had passed. There was no privacy during my 4 day, Memorial holiday weekend stay. And the owner incessantly texted me about my and my guests every move as if he was literally across the street. After several text exchanges from the owner about my guests standing in the driveway for too long, I learned that he had also been recording sound and conversations from the ring camera at the front door. This put my guests at such disease, that they didn't stay the entire weekend. It was a holiday weekend and not a single neighbor set foot outside their homes to enjoy their own patios, bar b ques or pools. And their backwards were visible as far as the eye can see. I find that extremely odd. My assumption is that people in this neighborhood are either hermits or are afraid of an African American presence in their secluded neighborhood. From day 1 of arrival, he started the initial phone call with "let me tell you a horror story about my previous guests....My neighbors thought someone might be getting raped...A group of girls were too loud for my neighbors...No one is allowed to stand in the driveway of the property." Going on to guilt trip the renter (me) about what the neighbors will think about him having a rental in the neighborhood. Which should be more of his problem than the renters. Despite feeling slightly discriminated against for my age and culture that likes to enjoy holidays in groups with food and lots of family, I respectfully answered every incessant text message inquiry and every accusation hurled at me and my guests by the owner. All in all, I would not recommend this property for anyone who could be made to feel unwelcome in certain neighborhoods or for anyone who actually wants to enjoy the outdoors with more than a couple guests and not be secluded to the inside of the home, simpley because the mysteriously non-existent neighbors/owner and their opinions of you and your guests every move will make you feel uneasy and guilty for spending almost $2000 on booking this property.
