Summary: This is a very nice old historic inn. It has a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner, and a bar inside, as well as a shady garden with places to sit outside as you enjoy a drink or food. Nice big porch out front with chairs on it too. Our room had another sitting room in it that was nice to have. Not sure if they all do. It includes a free, great breakfast at a sister property a few doors down where the food is made fresh for your order. The property is well kept, clean, and the staff great. The gentleman that manages the Inn was a source of great local history too. Of course being a historic property the doors don’t fit tight (they are safe and lock fine), the floors made not be perfectly level everywhere, and bathrooms nothing great, but clean. The property is kept up very well and if you like historic places to stay it was great. I would call it a perfect getaway for a couple. The other thing is it has a great location. Everything in town is easily walkable. We parked the car in their lot, and didn’t need to move it, unless we wanted to explore things out of town. I would recommend this as a nice change from the typical hotel chains (that I have no issues with too).

Summary: The room was amazing as was the total atmosphere within the Inn. The dinner we had upon checking on Friday night was amazingly delicious and the service was impeccable.

Summary: We had booked and paid for a king sized bed and were given a queen sized bedroom. We were desperate for sleep and we can only sleep well in a king. It wasn’t a casual request, it was a necessity. We did arrive late evening and were texted a code for the door. We never had any human contact so there was no recourse to be had. My suggestion is that you phone ahead to confirm your room choice before arriving. Also note that you do NOT have a choice as to where you have breakfast. You will be given a small coupon for the bakery several blocks away.
