Summary: The room itself was clean and appeared to be newly renovated, but the property and the surrounding area are in severe disrepair. I’m down for a motor lodge/ roadside motel, but Snelling looks like it peaked about 50 years ago. The gentleman checking us in was very friendly.

Summary: I didn’t have a chance to stay here as they wanted a $500 deposit to stay and I couldn’t afford that

Summary: The room had a very stale smell. Even after turning on the air conditioner and leaving the door open, the smell never went away completely. It had no bedside lamps, the refrigerator was turned off, and there was no hair dryer.

Summary: It’s fine as a baseline motel. The place is run down, especially as compared to the neighborhood- hallway carpets were musty, but the room’s was ok. Their hospitality is also baseline… strict 10:30 checkout, etc. Minihaha falls is close, which is why I chose the spot, and there’s bus and transit a block away. It worked out, though I personally would expect a lower rate for the quality.

Summary: Very nice customer service. The room was clean but the building needs some upkeep. The hallway that went to my room near the stairs had pieces of carpet to cover the floor that I tripped on. There were cleaning supplies and items that should be in storage or hidden that was unsightly. But hey, it was a very fair price and the room was clean

Summary: When I first saw this place, my heart sank; from the outside, it looks like a pretty awful motel. The hotel looks very dated and the exterior paint is peeling all over. My first room has dirty walls and the furniture was in mediocre condition. The staff moved me to a nicer looking room. The deadbolts don't work because the wrong strike plates are installed. Overall, my stay was decent and the staff was friendly, but I would not stay here again. There are very little in the way of nearby shops or restaurant, but if you have business with the VA hospital across the street, it's extremely convenient.
