Positive: Property is in a great location, easy access to Truckee and all the ski field and Tahoe surrounds. Chalet is picture perfect in the snow. The outdoor spa on the deck was great and the three bedrooms and two bathroom set up worked well.
Negative: The interior of the property had mostly everything you need but overall was a little on the rundown side. The furniture and bedding was well worn and could do with a refresh considering the amount of money you pay per night. Disappointingly the dining table was broken when we arrived. After a day they sent around a handyman to look at it but it was clearly unable to be fixed and so we then ended up with no table to sit at for the holiday. I believe the broken table should not have been left out without any note or explination and another table should have been provided.
Summary: Great location, decent amenities and rooms. A little on the rundown side.

Negative: The last evening of our stay, the power was out in Truckee, which meant that we were quickly in the dark, unable to cook dinner because it was an electric stove. Unable to take showers after a long day in the dirt for the race that my son was in because the electricity was what heated the insta hot water heater. There were also no flashlights with working batteries on the property. I called booking.com 2 times that evening asking for help or if they could move us to another property out of the town of Truckee. I was told I would receive a callback, but did not! All of this was stressful and problematic when you have a young man who just raced 4 hours in the dirt and mountains, tired and very hungry and was unable to get a cooked meal or even a shower because the water was freezing. For the next several days, I called Vacasa 2 more times to speak to them yet again about the situation and see if they could provide a resolution or possibly a discount for the last night. I was told someone would call me back all 3 times that I spoke with a representative, and as of today, not one person has called back or responded to my requests.

Negative: False advertising on the websites - this property does not have a pool, and oven that club where it’s located is not for free and located far from the house.
