The owner's of Grandma's House ( 722848 ) present The Synder's Homestead just up the road setting on the same 45 acres with plenty of room to roam. It has been completely renovated while retaining the characteristics of the old farm house. Although there is no front yard to speak of, the backyard goes all the way to the Cayuga Lake inlet stream. Probably not the best fit for the elderly or families with small children due to the steep stairs and the close proximity to the road. However, the back yard is very spacious with a firepit and access to the creek. We are just 10 minutes from 2 state parks and all that Ithaca has to offer. Travel a little futher and you can check out Watkins Glen or Corning Glass Museum. There is lots to do around us. NO PETS

Summary: It's a really nice little house that the owners did a nice job renovating. I wish it had been quieter. The road is a main road that has traffic even late at night. There's a train that shakes the house, which we got used to but initially scared us! There was a beaver who liked hanging out in the yard, which was very cool. Nice place. Clean. Safe. A good place to stop in the Finger Lakes.

Summary: We went for my daughter’s graduation at Cornell, location was great, about 15 minutes from the campus. The house was impecable, everything looked new, and you have everything you need if you want to cook. Robert took time to check on us the first day. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Summary: We rented the house for a long weekend for our oldest daughter's graduation from Ithaca College. The house was impeccably clean and welcoming upon arrival, including a bottle of blackberry wine. The live-in kitchen is spacious with plenty of work surfaces, a nice range and basic appliances and cookware. The beds were comfortable and fans were available for use. The location, while next to a road with fast traffic, was convenient to Ithaca, 10 minutes to Wegman's and other stores and 15 minutes to Ithaca College. We enjoyed the close proximity to Ithaca with all the town has to offer and having a comfortable home to spend time together and celebrate. Recommend!

Summary: We're a family of four with a 1-yr-old and a 3-yr-old. If anything the pictures undersell the house. It was charming, clean and there's plenty of space in the yard (part of which is fenced in). We enjoyed our time and the proximity to Ithaca and nearby parks made for easy, enjoyable days. We were completely satisfied but there are a few things young families should be aware of (especially if your little ones are sensitive sleepers). 1. There is a fair bit of light that comes through the blinds both at night and in the morning. 2. There is a vent/duct that connects the living room to the bedroom above. So noise from the living room is pumped directly into the bedroom. The house layout is one bedroom downstairs off of the living room, then upstairs there's an additional bedroom as well as a bed on the loft/landing at the top of the stairs (not gated). 3. The house is by the road. Don't be deterred by this as road noise was very muffled inside and the fenced-in portion of the back yard gives you a worry-free space to play. 4. There are mowed paths that go back to the creek, but access to the creek bed itself is quite poor. I wouldn't bank on playing at the creek as an activity.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay! It was a great location for everything we wanted to do and liked that it was outside of the city. It looks like it was recently done inside and was very clean. We enjoyed all parts of the house including making meals and utilizing the fire pit. We appreciated all the little touches from the bottle of welcome wine to the tissues to the Febreeze in the bathroom. Thank you Robert!

Summary: The house has plenty of room, especially in the kitchen. I would not advise turning left when leaving property due to limited line of sight and speed of oncoming traffic.

Summary: Only positive vibes. The house is clean and comfortable. You can find a backyard and also small river if walk a little bit. The owner is kind and friendly. I am highly recommend this house and definitely will be back next summer.

Summary: It's a wonderful house with all amenities needed for a weeks stay. It's very clean. It does have air conditioning units on the windows. It's 20 min drive to the North campus of Cornell. You will definitely need a car however stores, restaurants and Cornell University is a short drive away. The bonus was having a washer/dryer inside the home. Would highly recommend this home.
