Summary: We loved our stay at the Sofitel! We had a garden bungalow that was just one hut away from the beach. It was beautiful and very convenient to get to the beach and watersports desk. We were able to park our car easily, and everything is within a short walk. I checked out a paddleboard everyday, and we could use life vests. We booked a snorkel adventure easily. We loved their breakfast each morning, and had a nice dinner there one night. Our favorite part of the resort is the amazing coral reef right in front of the private beach. There are fish within feet of the shore. We loved both Moorea and the Sofitel more than the other places we went afterwards.

Summary: Perfect hotel in paradise. Best snorkeling and beach on Moorea right out in front. Easy access to the ferries. The grounds are well kept and breathtakingly beautiful. Exceeded my expectations!

Summary: Eautiful beach and outstanding snorkling due to ongoing great care of reef. Overwater bungalos are very clean and comfortable. Life jackets are are available there, which is very convenient. Snorcling gear is available for rental. Breakfast buffet is very good. Beautiful garden territory, friendly and helpful staff

Summary: We stayed 3 nights in an overwater bungalow. It was very clean, bed was comfortable and cleaning staff were very good. However, like many other reviews of the restaurant and staff there, it was highly lacking for a 5 star resort. We stayed at a VRBO on the west side of the island for 12 days before going to the Sofitel. Every local restaurant we ate at was much better food and service. Our 1st night at Sofitel we tried the restaurant. Our waiter took our drink and meal order and we never saw him again. A different waiter brought my steak, which was tough and no knife. We never received our drinks. My wife had the same problem the next morning ordering a coffee. We had to ask a second waitress. If you stay here, venture off property and enjoy a locally cooked meal.
