Positive: Sok San is a very long beach and not a bay so for an Aussie, the waves in the wet season don’t worry me. A poor swimmer would complain. We basically booked out most of the rooms. We had a cooker and Khmer buddies that love to cook. Very simple facilities and no wifi in bedrooms but have in restaurant. No people besides us ❤️❤️❤️. Well a few but not many. Almost private beach. The $5 per person PassApp to villages is criminal (I live here and know prices). Don’t argue. Even fluent Khmer didn’t help. Love Sok San. The place is really made for Khmer as in restaurant has little to offer and only beer. Just wear bug spray. I look like a red and white Leppard but from village restaurant. Oh so good. They booked us a sort of tie with seats that held all 11 of us. Don’t know price. Yes I would go back with a group but maybe not on my own.
Negative: No wifi in rooms because I have to work when work wants me and too much wind in restaurant. Cellcard works. Smart doesn’t.

Negative: I thought the room was a little too expensive; although, if I was with a partner I wouldn't have minded $20 a night?

Positive: Secluded, out of the way, very quiet. Rooms were spacious and on the sparse side but good for a 4/5 nights.
Negative: Sand flys. Had to take Tuk Tuk to the village on very uneven roads. Two hotel names start with the same name "Soksan". Have to specify the exact hotel when getting Tuk tuk.

Positive: The location was very good, on a lovely peaceful beach in the Soksan area (only a 20 min walk along the beach to the village). It was only a short motorbike/ tuk tuk ride from any other village/ area. Dom was brilliant! He was extremely kind and helpful - he made us feel very welcome and helped us arrange our Tuk tuks and ferries around the islands.
Negative: The only small issue was the WiFi didn’t reach our room but we didn’t mind sitting in the restaurant area/ on the beach to get it
Summary: Wonderful stay, we missed it the day we left - would 100% stay her again

Positive: There was drinking water available at the common area. They offered us a welcome drink. They organised a tuktuk for us when we were leaving.
Negative: We honestly didn't understand the high rating of the place as in reality it is definitely not a very good accommodation. Maybe it's fine for one night, but for 4 nights we would choose to go somewhere else next time. The bungalows are very basic. They are not standalone, you share a wall with another guest's room. The walls are paper this so you hear everything that goes on in the other room and on the outside. There is no hot water and there is absolutely no water pressure which made it very hard to take a shower. They don't show this on the photos but the wall of the bathroom doesn't actually reach the ceiling so the bathroom and the room are basically one room and while you can't see into the bathroom, the whole room is incredibly humid and there is a toilet smell all over it. The mosquito net around the bed had about a hundred holes in it, so we asked for it to be replaced. The host brought us another one immediately but it had just as many holes in it so we slept very bad each night fighting off mosquitos. The room was cleaned when we asked for it and whilst it was mostly fine the floors always remained sandy. There is no wifi in the rooms only in the common area. You can barely see the sea from the seaview room so it's not worth paying extra for it. The restaurant is very overpriced for the service and food it provides, you are better off eating in the resort next door where prices are similar but the food and the service are much nicer. The younger host was very kind, but the rest of the staff wasn't very nice, most of them never even said hi even though we did. The beach is indeed very nice but not just at this resort but all around it so it's not worth staying here just for the beach. The beach is not very well maintained and the sundbeds are very old and uncomfortable.

Positive: Location was lovely, peaceful and away from the busy village of sok san beach. You do need transport to get around as it’s quite secluded.
Negative: Had some issues with the ac smelling bad but the owner is such a nice helpful man that he refunded our last night (we decided to leave earlier than planned). The biggest issue for me was the sandflies on the beaches everywhere.

Positive: The location is just paradise- the beach is really amazing. Laid back and best spot for watching sunsets. The room is also pretty big.
Negative: Restaurant is little bit pricey for what it is. The whole place could be really awesome in hands of someone who takes care of it. There was mess all over the common area. I can't believe that it has such a good reviews- it is probably just thanks to the location... . It wouldn't be hard just to put all the unneeded things somewhere, clean and make it nice for guests. There was also no internet for arround 24 hours of our stay and when we tried to reach someone and tell him- there was noone arround. overall ok stay- but just thanks to the location.
