Positive: The owner was an absolute star and let us stay an extra night when the ferry was cancelled. View from the front window is amazing and changes all the time. All of the 'Essence of Harris' diffusers make a great atmosphere. Cottage is very close to a grocer and 24hr petrol pump. You can walk to Tabert (we did) but is a bit risky in the dark.

Negative: I dinged my car on the gate as the drive is a bit awkward. Needs more cutlery.

Summary: Brilliant location for Harris and Lewis and the owner is very accommodating.

Positive: This was the most perfect holiday home for our trip. Just minutes out of Tarbert it's perfectly located for exploring Harris: The beaches and the Golden Road. The cottage was well equipped and is a real home from home.

Positive: Beautiful views over the sea! The cottage has everything you could possibly want. We were also pleasantly surprised by the great welcome basket waiting for us, thank you Caroline! There were even binoculars for spotting wildlife. Supermarket close by, although we did most shopping in Stornoway. We had a great time! After we left I found out I forgot something very special to me and Caroline arranged to send it back to me without delay: again many thanks here!

Positive: This is a delightful place to stay. Cottage is comfortable & very well appointed with everything you need incl Netfix TV! Views from the sitting room over the bay to the islands beyond were a continual delight as the weather changed. Very good location 7min from Tarbert providing an ideal base for exploring Harris & Lewis with a village shop selling everything you could need just up the road.

Negative: The cottage is on the main road on the right coming from Tarbert - just after the small turning on left to the village. However as the rubbish bins obscured the house sign it took us a long time to find it!

Summary: The cottage was a wonderful place to stay
