Positive: It is a wonderful little house with a big swimming pool. The house is perfect for a couple, wanting to have a private and quiet holiday. The kitchen and bathroom has everything you’ll need. The pool can also be used by other people who stay at Jenny and Hugo’s house but during our stay it was very quiet. Jenny and Hugo are very kind and welcoming! The location is wonderful! In the middle of nature with nice hiking and biking trails. Jenny has a great website to show all trails in the area! Porto and Coimbra are about 1 h and 10 minutes by car. We loved our stay!! We hope we can come here soon again.
Negative: Everything was lovely! (Just know you have to drive through a mountainous area and windy roads to get to and from Solar Alegria, there are not many things close by but we loved this quietness.)

Positive: This is a perfect place to connect to nature as there are many trails around the property, passing through the woods, waterfalls, mountains, rivers and even a dam. There is also the impressive Ecopista of the Vouga nearby, a 60+km trail build on an old train line, perfect for walking or cycling. About the small house we stayed, it is good for two people with a useful kitchen, bathroom with hot water and a comfortable room upstairs with a view of the valley. It is very quiet, so one can sleep very well there. Keep in mind it is a very old house, albeit restored.

Positive: I had an incredible stay at Jenny and Hugo's place! They are truly exceptional hosts, incredibly warm and welcoming. The kitchen is fully equipped, making meal prep a breeze. Upon arrival, they kindly gifted me with freshly harvested vegetables from their garden, along with a delightful bottle of Port wine—a lovely touch! The house itself is beautifully restored and decorated, with a level of comfort that's beyond compare. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the views from both the bedroom and bed were absolutely breathtaking. They've provided an abundance of pillows, catering to every possible preference. The pool was a highlight—spacious, perfect temperature, and the surrounding area with grass, sofas, and a table made lounging exceptionally comfortable. It's a nature lover's paradise, with stunning views and an incredibly serene atmosphere. Jenny and Hugo were incredibly attentive throughout my stay, ensuring I had everything I needed. Three days in this peaceful place flew by—it was an absolute dream. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene getaway!
