Positive: The location was excellent as well as the breakfast. The host family is so helpful and friendly. They went to great lengths to make sure that we were comfortable. They provided a lot of information about the area, and made us feel right at home.

Summary: Our time at Solar das Avencas will be among the most memorable parts of our trip.

Positive: Very good location, a fantastic breakfast, easy parking and very friendly hosts. I wish we could have stayed longer but we will probably go back another time.

Negative: Maybe a second option for the satnav. We could not find the first address as an option, but it was solved easily when the host gave us a second address.

Summary: Very nice stay in superb accommodation with the best breakfast ever. Recommended.

Positive: This is such a charming location. The hosts are absolutely lovely. You feel like you are stepping into a museum - super interesting. The breakfast served is incredible - lots of homemade and local delicacies. If anything, go there for the breakfast!

Negative: The beds could use an update or a topper to soften them - but, I am a bit fussy with beds. Most people aren't bothered by stiff mattresses.

Summary: Loved this location! Go for the breakfast!!!!

Positive: Homemade cakes and splendid breakfast served by a dedicated young man whose parents live upstairs. We had the run of the house and what a home full of treasures from the the Colonial period.

Negative: So much amazing and beautiful stuff that is hard to start. My wife loved the tablecloths and sheets. I was fascinated by the peace pipes.
