Negative: I enjoyed the hotel and the overall service. However, I was concerned to find China Daily placed in the guest room. This publication does not simply provide neutral news. It often contains politically biased narratives and statements that differ from internationally accepted facts, particularly regarding regional issues involving Taiwan and Japan. For an international hotel welcoming guests from many countries, providing such politically charged material may create discomfort and give the impression that the hotel supports a specific political viewpoint. I strongly recommend replacing it with neutral, factual, or local newspapers to maintain a welcoming and politically neutral environment for all guests.

Positive: location was excellent and short walking distance to pub street!. nice boutique property and good sized rooms with comfortable beds. very pleasant staff.
Negative: At checkout, we were asked that a cup and saucer was missing from the room. We told the reception staff that it had likely gone along with the room service dishes etc which we had ordered last night, but they insisted that they first need to cross check with restaurant staff. Unbelievable I thought! Whilst I understand the staff is doing their job but in the grand scheme of things, in a 5 star hotel it is rather insulting to the guest that they are being asked to wait till the missing tea cup is located before check out can be finalised!!. Who is going run away with a teacup ??!! A manager then found the errant cup and saucer and we were free to leave. This really spoilt our mood. Somebody in the management seriously needs to rethink this process.
Summary: Excellent hotel, perfectly located but for the one episode described above.

Positive: Great comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The service was top notch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room spacious and the bed very comfortable. The pool was a hit, perfect to take a dip in the hot weather. Breakfast and their food in the cafe was excellent. And the spa was wonderful. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.
