Negative: It looks like the place was clean haphazardly or not at all. There were food crumbs in the hallway and two days later it was still there. There were stuck food particles in the garbage can inside the hotel room. The hotel was otherwise in a good location, quiet and convenient. Most of the front desk staff were personable and accommodating except for the evening personnel who seemed bothered and unwelcoming when asked for a favor.

Positive: Surprised surprised: I Selected this hotel based on good ratings and reviews and after staying here, I can understand why people have given such positive feedback. I knew I was in a great place once we arrived. The area is nice, clean and safe. Troy is simply beautiful community. I booked a small room for my daughter and I but the host was really friendly and she upgraded us to a bigger suite totally free of charge so we could have friends over. Special thanks to the host for this wonderful gesture. SONESTA SIMPLY SUITES was such a cozy accomodation with a bedroom, kitchenette, living room and bathroom. The apartment was beautifully clean. Everything you need can be found in the suite, beside nice towels and extra pillows and blankets, for example every suite counts with stove, microwave, full size fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, utensils and even cooking pots to make your own breakfast or meals. We loved the location, close to restaurants, plazas, a shopping center is nearby and it’s only 20 minutes drive from Downtown Detroit. We felt comfortable spending a weekend in this place. I highly recommend this hotel, everything was beyond expectations and we will be back again for sure!
