Positive: The hosts were friendly, and the price was affordable. It was nice to have a private ensuite attached to our room, so that we didn't have to share a bathroom with other guests. The shared kitchen and dining areas were quite large. It was very considerate to offer us a free wine tasting.
Negative: It was a little strange to have a bedroom in a house that people were coming and going in and out of. Anyone visiting the winery for a wine tasting was coming into the house to use the bathroom, so I never really knew who was there as another guest, staff, or part of the family that lived in the house. When people (or especially dogs) would come and go, you could hear them quite loudly, and I was woken as least twice by the sound of dogs. The door was thin, with just a doorknob lock, so I don't think I would have felt very safe being there alone as a woman. Also, the wifi did not work for the 4 days I was there, so we had to drive into town to get wifi from Starbucks, as I had work that needed to be done.
Summary: You get what you pay for

Positive: I liked that it was in a working vineyard and I liked the openness of the people who worked there. We got to experience part of the wine blending process which was fun.
Negative: The property had a camping club deal. One of the campers parked in front of our window blocking the view. Not a huge deal but annoying
Summary: Very nice

Positive: The property inside was very clean, nicely renovated, the kitchen was well equipped; large dining and barbeque area. Cozy, quiet and comfortable. Close to the town.
Negative: Outside, around property cleaning needed, as it looked poorly maintained. Tv set in the room would have been nice. The mobile AC is very noisy can't leave it on over the night. Room and bathroom quite small.
