With only 10 spacious suites, they enjoy a private atmosphere where they can switch off and let Bonaire enchant them. We offer a special selection of rental cars. All of them are suitable to visit the national park, to dove or to explore the island. On-site dove tanks (free Nitrox upgrade), rinse and store facilities for dove gear are available for our guests as well as rental diving and snorkeling equipment. Positive: Great place within walking distance of central Kralendijk. Very friendly staff, good breakfast, great option of late checkout till your plane leaves. Fondue and schnitzel nights recommended. Spacious room with balcony and fridge.
Negative: A small drawer for things you canโ€™t hang abd donโ€™t want to keep in the safe would be nice.
Summary: Great place for central Kralendijk with good wifi and friendly staff.

Positive: We were there for the windsurfing which was easy to do from the Sonrisa Hotel. We weren't focused on the fact that the Sonrisa offers everything you need to dive right at the hotel including great guiding during the dives. The set up right at the hotel made it a no-brainer to participate. What an enjoyable experience.
Negative: There was nothing at all that could put you off about the Sonrisa or Beat and Corrine, the hosts.

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay at Sonrisa. This is a cute little local Boutique hotel. Loved the room, loved the pool and outside seating areas. The staff and owners were friendly and helpful. Owner picked us up from airport and took us back to the airport (very convenient). We rented snorkel equipment from them and they know all the best places to snorkel and dive on the island as well as recommendations for other activities and restaurants. We also rented our car (SUV) from the owner which was super convenient. The box picnic lunch and breakfast were good too. Loved the trust bar (drinks available any time of day or night). We used the pool and patio areas a lot when we weren't snorkeling or doing other activities. We will definitely stay here on our return. A much more personal and authentic experience than the larger luxury resorts.
Negative: An ocean view would have been nice but the ocean and downtown area are within easy walking distance from the hotel.

Positive: Corinne and Beat were wonderful hosts making us feel welcome and comfortable. They were very helpful setting up an island excursion and guiding me on beautiful snorkel tours. The property was well located within walking distance of several restaurants and downtown. The overall vibe was relaxing! We would definitely return!

Positive: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The staff are also very friendly, and it feels like a home away from home. Breakfast daily was great. The pool area was wonderful, and my room was comfortable and clean. I hired a car from the hosts and my snorkelling gear.

Positive: - Location (walking distance to Kralendijk and supermarket, close to airport) - Clean and well maintained property - Water pressure in the shower - Quiet location - Responsiveness of owners - Elaborate info website / tips on where to go
Negative: - A/C did not work properly, had his own mind, changed the temperature all the time. And blew in our face as it is directed directly to the bed. - Cleaners turned off our A/C and were mad we left it on while not being in the room. We however were gone for 10 minutes and the room gets extremely moist after showering. - There was no real door to the bathroom/ toilet. I think everyone likes their privacy in the bathroom. - Breakfast very overpriced for what it is, and had no options if you don't eat meat + sugar in the morning. Just bread with cheese and eggs. No fresh juice. No natural yoghurt. Coffee never served. Paid mineral water. - Owners did not check in as to whether we were happy. - No closet in the room to hang clothes if you stay bit longer (we stayed 1 week). - Loud refrigerator. - Not able to unplug TV and refrigerator.

Positive: The Sonrisa is a wonderful hotel. The owners are two of the nicest people who were so welcoming and helpful. From the moment we were picked up at the airport (we arranged that with them ahead of time) we knew we were in good hands. Our room was beautiful and nicely laid out with a very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a patio with the pool just steps away. Once we were settled, Corinne gave us a map and full explanation of where to go for great snorkeling, restaurants and points of interest. Which was good to know instead of trying to figure it out ourselves. It was very convenient to rent one of their cars and we recommend it. And all of their recommendations were spot on and easy to get to with the car. They have a small restaurant on site too, also very convenient. They also have full diving and snorkeling rentals if you need, and a nice wash area for your equipment when you get back from a day of ocean adventures. We highly recommend you stay at the Sonrisa. If we get the chance to come back to beautiful Bonaire, this is the only place we would consider staying.
