Positive: We had a wonderful two-night stay at Sottarco B & Benevento after a trip across Italy, spending time in Pulgia and headed back to Rome to fly to the US. It was a bit difficulty to find parking for the time of day that we arrived. The B & B is on a main busy street and Benevento is a busy city. Our host did her very best to secure us parking on the street and it all worked out in the end (even though we were a bit frazzled)! The apartment is up a long flight of stairs and the host assisted us with our luggage, very kind! The apartment was very clean and spacious (except for the shower, very small). The bed was super comfortable and we both slept well. No street noise to keep us up! The kitchen had everything we could need for breakfast or snacks throughout the day! And the breakfast coupons were for a lovely cozy caffe. The hosts recommendation of a pizza place, only a few steps away, was spot on! The BEST pizza we had on our whole trip! We had a beautiful view of the Arch of Trajan on the balcony - beautiful at night with the colored lights. We followed the advice of the host and tried a few of her other recommended restaurants for some very delicious and memorable meals. Although the weather was rainy and chilly we made the best of it and walked all over the city! We went to the Roman Theater (GPS navigation was wrong!), some churches and museums. If we ever find our way back to Benevento we will definitely stay at Sottarco B & Benevento.

Positive: Location is ideal. Close to the historic sites and restaurants. Our host, Celeste, was very helpful. Apartment was exceptionally clean and modern.

Negative: Apartment was a bit smaller than expected and didnt have a sofa.

Positive: The property was clean, cosy and the ideal location to explore the ancient city of Benevento. Everything we needed was provided. Whilst the property was perfect for our family, it was our delightful hostess Celeste who made the experience memorable. Her hospitality passion and energy was contagious and the family loved speaking to her and getting her guidance about the city including the best places to visit.
