Positive: Everything online is accurate, yet the stay feels better because of the owners: warm, genuinely welcoming, excellent communicators. Hospitality with natural grace. Rooms are spacious and tastefully styled with a subtle, castle-inspired baroque feel. Plenty of room to breathe and rest. The bathroom was the largest we saw among Sicily B&Bs. Finishes and sanitary fixtures show rare attention to detail here; they’re done right. Breakfast was delightful. The terrace and viewpoint are standout highlights. Hallways lined with regional photographs add charm and a sense of place. The neighborhood is very quiet, so sleep is uninterrupted. It’s the first B&B on this trip with solid walls, which makes a real difference. The high ratings are deserved. One of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. Truly recommended.

Positive: Sotto le Stelle is an absolutely beautiful charming, cozy B&B situated in the magical mountain town of Caltabellotta. Our room was spacious, lovingly decorated and very comfortable. We enjoyed a terrace with a beautiful view of the valley and sea. Breakfast was a delicious assortment of fruit, pastries and excellent coffee! Giuseppe is a very gracious host. The family restaurant M.A.T.E.S. is excellent! The best dinner and local wine we had on our Sicily trip!

Positive: We were greeted with a sense that we were family and not just guests. The streets are very narrow so he met us and helped us to the house after taking us on a lovely drive to the top of the village! But what we found inside was magical! The painted ceiling was just a total delight and the view from the balcony of the sky and valley below will never be forgotten!

Summary: This was a town we had not planned to visit and we were blown away by how fun and beautiful it was to visit.

Positive: We loved the house and its history. Giuseppe was an amazing host, so thoughtful and kind. It felt as though we were staying with friends. Parking was easy, the arancini freshly made across the street was to die for (and they sold a bottle of wine too!). We ate in the restaurant Giuseppe brother runs - food was divine and locally produced. We were even given a bottle of olive oil to take home. Such a rare find. Recommend 100%

Negative: Nothing. What’s not to like, the terrace, the room decor. We would 100% stay here again.

Positive: A delightful & gracious old house with an extraordinary outlook from the heights of Caltabellotta over Sicily’s southern coast. Giuseppe was a lovely and helpful host.

Negative: On a cool evening & not dining out, we did need somewhere comfortable to sit (also tea/coffee facilities would be nice).
