Casa del Sol is located on a ridge top with wonderful views of the San Juan Mountains in southern Colorado, just 5 miles from the famous Hot Springs; a great mountain getaway in the summer for hiking, biking, rafting, golf, horseback riding, animal parks and close to National Parks and Indian ruins. Located also just 25 minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area, the home has 3 bedrooms in the main house, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and sun splashed living-family room with sliders leading to a very large cement patio in back with deer and turkeys visiting! Living Room with skylights with a gas fireplace, a flat screen TV; a smart TV in the master, and free wireless internet. Family room in lower level with a ping pong table, games & puzzles for kids, TV, a full bath, and two of the bedrooms each with a queen bed. A queen sofa bed is available here also. The Main level has the master bedroom with a king bed, and an additional access to the main full bath. The OPTIONAL IN- LAW SUITE available (extra cost $69/nt or $375/wk) consists of a queen bed, kitchenette, dining area and full bath with sliders to the front deck and 30ft balcony overlooking the San Juans! Awesome sunrises and incredible stargazing in this quiet, rural subdivision, but just 5 miles to town. Rear patio with 2 tables with chairs, and chaise lounges with lots of privacy, and a propane gas BBQ in season with all utensils . The San Juan River runs behind in the valley in the rear. Summary: At the beginning of our stay, things were great. Very clean and a beautiful home. I cannot say enough good things about the owner and property manager, they were both very helpful and quick to address the issues we had. This review is not meant to diminish them. That being said, I was very unhappy with the man who claimed to be neighborhood maintenance that let himself into the home while I was there alone. He was very sketchy and did not appear to have anything that would prove himself to be maintenance or housekeeping (Which it turns out to be the housekeepers son). He showed up with a box of latex gloves only and had his own key. He did not knock or announce himself before trying to enter. Like I said, this is at no fault of the owner, she was very helpful in finding out who this man was and apologized profusely. But I do not feel confident that this has not happened to previous visitors, considering that the housekeeper is a neighbor to the home, according to the welcome book. I could not write this review without mentioning this scary situation. It very well could have been a huge misunderstanding, but it seemed to me like he was there for another reason and could have been watching our vehicle the days before that. This was the only downside to our stay. I would just ask that the owner or manager take extra steps of precaution to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

Summary: The house is a short drive outside of Pagosa Springs, but is still very close to town. Our family had plenty of space to sleep and hang out. The views from the house are amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything the we needed. There were plenty of sheets, pillows, and towels. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: This is a great vrbo mountain house rental ! Fantastic views, charming house . Close to town yet out among the pines . Plenty of room. Loved the game room. Plenty of bathrooms and nicely decked out kitchen. Excellent !

Summary: We had a relaxing stay a few miles from Pagosa Springs proper, on a nice little ridge above the San Juan river with beautiful views of mountains to the east. The setting is excellent. That very setting probably explains the poor wifi, but watch out for that. The house is comfortable and lends itself to a stay with friends, as the upstairs and downstairs offer privacy from one another.

Summary: The Southwestern Adobe place was just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. It was perfect for our family. IT had plenty of room, was exceptionally clean and maintained, and located where we had plenty of breath-taking views and wildlife viewing. The owner was exceptionally helpful and communication was great. Overall, one of the very best VRBO experiences that we've had.

Summary: Casa del Sol is a beautiful and clean home. The deer and turkey travel through the yard on most nights. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for all your cooking needs. Lois is very attentive to any questions or concerns you may have with the property. The house is only a short hop into town for supplies or restaurants and the back patio is a lovely place for quiet and perhaps a glass of wine after a long day. We will be back.

Summary: Great patio with beautiful views and plenty of seating. Well stocked home, but if you have a large group bring extra toilet paper and trashbags. There was lots of cookware, salt & pepper and other spices. There was foil, plastic wrap, and sandwich bags. Nice gas grilled that we used a few times. Very clean.
