Situated on a hilltop on beautiful Soyers Lake in the Haliburton Highlands, this cottage has an incredible view. The cottage is situated exactly halfway between the towns of Minden and Haliburton with ample shopping.
The cottage is very private with no visible neighbors. The swimming is great with absolutely no weeds. It is intended for swimmers as it gets deep pretty quickly.
There is a dock for mooring a large boat.
Ideally intended for a couple. (however the living room has a pull out futon)
The cottage has all modern facilities. (it was newly built in 2012)
Unless other arrangements are made check out time on day of departure is 10:00 AM and check in time on arrival is 2:00 PM.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. We enjoyed great swimming off the dock into deep water, paddles out on the canoe, and stargazing. This is a small, quiet place with excellent privacy from neighbors, and the cottage was clean and neat. There is lots of space to sit outside and read a book while overlooking the lake. Our host Rudi is very friendly and was quick to respond when we had a few questions. We just loved our stay and hope to come back next year.

Summary: A wonderful place to get away to. The owner, Rudi was very helpful. The cottage is small but more than enough room for 2. It was clean and secluded. I will definitely go back there!

Summary: We stayed at Rudi's cottage the week of August 15th 2021 and it was just amazing. The cottage is more for a couple but we managed fine with us and our 2 teen kids. It is a comfortable cottage with all you need for your vacation. It has a kitchen with all cooking stuff, fridge, stove, microwave, propane bbq, bathroom with a shower, 1 bedroom, futon, and a TV with cable if you have any bad weather. Rudi checked on us to make sure everything was good when we got there and for our stay. Once you walk outside the cottage there was a fire pit which we used every night. It was a beautiful fire with the lake right in front of you. There is also a private dock with a canoe and kayak there for your use. The lake water was warm and clean. The water is deep enough to keep a large enough boat at the dock. The lake which is called Soyers lake is awesome for swimming, kayaking, canoeing or boating. We also had our atv with us and there are many trails near the cottage. We used the free trails near the cottage and also bought the haliburton atv trail pass for a week. So much beauty to see while enjoying a ride on the atv. I would recommend this cottage for anyone who wants relax and enjoy nature. Thank you Rudi for making sure we had all we needed to make our stay awesome.

Summary: Everything was perfect except the weather. We only had one nice day. The rest was rain and cool. Rudi was great, accommodations were good but you can't control mother nature. We would definitely go again.

Summary: This property is as advertised: clean, and simple. We enjoyed a comfortable, quiet stay. The dock was the highlight for myself and my kids. We spent lots of time swimming in the clean, deep water of Soyer’s Lake. The kayak and canoe were lots of fun. In advance of our visit Rudi provided lots of information about the property and surrounding area. Thanks for the lovely stay, Rudi!

Summary: My husband and I had the most amazing week at this cottage. The dock is beautiful and lovely to sit on and admire the view. If you wake up early enough, you can see the sun rise on the other side of the lake. We swam almost every day! At other cottages the water is usually too cold, but here the sun hits the water directly, and the water is fresh and clean and feels amazing. There is lots of land between the cottage and the lake, and so there is space to play outdoor games. We played soccer, badminton and flew kites. The cottage itself was very clean and has everything you need, with a great view from the living room. Overall, we loved it here, and hope to come again!

Summary: I had an absolutely lovely stay at the cottage. If you are looking for a house in the country, this is not for you, but if you are looking for a quiet, basic retreat, this cottage is it! It has everything you need most importantly a lovely dock on which to sit and read and from.which to swim to cool off from the heat. Very close to Haliburton village for whatever you may have forgotten to bring from home. The owner is lovely and I will most likely be visiting again!
