Negative: So so strict and rigid in so many areas maybe easy for locals but incredibly stressful in many areas for me Pass despite great facilities I found it unworkable not at all relaxing Sayonara spa world

Positive: Room was spacious but would be nice to be able to separate the bedroom from the loungeroom with a partition.

Negative: Kind of annoying having to put shoes in a locker as soon as you enter the hotel and had to lock the stroller up outside (out of the weather but inconvenient). Felt weird wearing socks or barefoot to breakfast but was an interesting experience.

Positive: Location was really good. Also free use of the facilities was a great option (swimming pool and onsen)

Negative: Not sure if there’s lift from the ground floor / outside. At least we couldn’t find it so we had to carry suitcases for those long stairs to the entrance. If there lift they need to make bigger sign I reckon. Also my husband wished to have extra pillow but they said we have a free stay child(5yo) we can’t have extra pillow as we don’t pay for that child and they assumed we’d use that pillow for a child. Pool was quite old and not so flash.

Summary: Great location. Good spa. Overall great stay.

Positive: Very nice hotel, spa, sauna, gym and location just in front of train station.

Negative: We have to took off our shoes in and out to our room start from the lobby. They gave us a sticker label that we have to use while we enter the hotel to scan to enter t lobby hotel

Positive: The recently renovated onsen complex is the absolute highlight of this hotel. With a phenomenal variety of themed pools and temperatures (both indoor and out), the entire space is clearly designed for deep mental and physical relaxation. Loved that we could wear our pajamas in all parts of the hotel too, even at breakfast. The lobby decor changes to reflect the season, which is a nice touch. The location is also good, with an array of restaurants, convenience stores, a big Don Quixote (think “super Walmart,”Japanese-style) and subway lines just steps away. Beyond the baths, the hotel offers a karaoke bar, a fitness center, and a convenient food court. The rooftop pool complex and view are also pluses. The breakfast buffet is a solid mix of Japanese and Western staples. The staff—though incredibly friendly—primarily cater to Japanese guests and speak limited English. Having Google Translate ready made communication seamless.

Negative: The guest rooms are small but you likely won’t be spending much time in them.

Summary: Our second stay…but definitely not our last!
