ITS ALWAYS GREAT HERE...FISHING ON YOUR PRIVATE PIER, MOONLIGHT STROLLS ALONG THE BEACH OR WATCHING SUNSETS ON THE BAY FADE INTO STAR LIT NIGHTS.
There are not many of these...Enjoy your own private lighted fishing pier, witness spectacular sunrises over the Gulf and sunsets over Little Drum bay. And best of all, if you bring your boat, you can launch and park next door at the paved, private boat launch and leave your boat parked at our private pier.
We just completed new decks, painting, granite countertops in the kitchen and flooring throughout the home. This home has two very large covered balconies facing Little Drum Bay. Watch the kids fish on the lighted pier while you relax on one of the new decks that look out over the bay. This is also a great place for everyone to crab and then have a crab boil. We always bring extra shrimp, potatoes and corn just in case. This is also an excellent place for Kayakers to come to stay and fish. Easy launching beside the home. Read your favorite book, nap or sip on your favorite drink while watching the spectacular sunsets.
Inside you can relax in the spacious and open floor plan designed to accommodate groups of all sizes. The kitchen has all-stainless steel appliances. Gourmet cooks enjoy being able to prepare their favorite dishes, listening to their favorite music while gazing at the views of the bay.
Three bedrooms are upstairs, and one more is downstairs for the occasional late night arrival or grandpa's snoring.
The beach is only 1.5 blocks away. Load up the chairs, umbrella and cooler and putter over to the beach to build sand castles, wake board, surf-fish or just kick back and enjoy the views. When you come home, rinse off under the outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
At the end of the day, you can play board games with the family, sit out under the stars, or watch movies or TV.
There are a variety of other activities which include local restaurants, putt-putt golf, Moody Gardens, the Confederate air force museum, and The Strand, a world class shopping area in Galveston.
Growing up, the whole family vacationed near the gulf coast. We always made so memories there together. This is why we have this home. There is no better value in a family vacation that offers this many options and we hope you will make the memories here with your family, too.

Summary: The property was very clean and contained everything you you could need for a comfortable stay. I was impressed by how well the kitchen was stocked with accessories necessary to cook any meal. The beach was only a two minute ride and there was a hot/cold shower to rinse off in before entering the hose. The entire family enjoyed the stay.

Summary: Right in the center of great fishing spots. Fish drum bay from the private dock or take your boat/kayak up to the connecting Christmas bay just a couple miles away. Also from the cabin if you turn left on blue water hwy it’s only 10 minute drive to San Luis Pass. Or turn right and drive 10 minutes to the Freeport jetties. The cabin itself great….clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Easily slept 8 people with room to spare.

Summary: Overall, it was a really nice trip. The only thing wrong was the faucet in the upstairs bathroom was broken. The owner did state it was ordered and would be replaced. Bring your off, the mosquitos were bad.

Summary: We love this home on the bay and across the street from the beach! The kids enjoy crabbing right from the deck and the house has crabbing traps and a canoe for the guests use. We have been here many times and after this trip the entire family agreed this is our favorite VRBO rental!

Summary: My sister and I were surprising our parents with a trip to the beach and this was the perfect place for us. We took family pictures on the pier, got sunburned on the beach, went fishing and enjoyed the day. I didn’t see a fire pit but with the weekend being so humid and mosquito-y we didn’t spend too much time outside except the last night when we went fishing. If we ever went back to the gulf this is where we would stay.

Summary: Absolutely stunning! We all, hands down, agreed it was one of the best last minute planned getaways ever. The house is cozy, welcoming and very comfortable. If you are looking for technology, this is not it. The wifi was very good but the tv is basic - no streaming in the family area. There is a FireStick upstairs but who cares. The view, the water and the highlight in our opinion was the double decks. We literally lived on the decks. The sunrise and set are amazing. Two never came down. I fished (last minute decision) and caught stingrays, crabs, catfish and crocker. Extremely relaxing. The owners are so sweet! The previous reviews are spot on so I will not repeat - we needed nothing except food. Can't wait to come back.
