5 Bedroom Villa in Claviers

Villa Nyasa is an oasis of calm providing uninterrupted southerly views across the mountain valley. The old part of the house which dates from the 18 century has been extended and beautifully adapted and modernised over the years, whilst retaining a distinct Provençal country charm.
Flanked by 3.5 acres of oaks, pine trees and olive groves, it has beautifully constructed terraced gardens with lavender, lemon trees and fig trees, where wild herbs flourish. There are three outside dining areas, and a BBQ area with a fridge and sink.
The terraces on all sides and at various levels, together with the courtyard provide ample space for groups of people to socialise and to find quiet spots for those moments of solitude. Badminton, outdoor table tennis and various games will keep children and adults entertained. Whilst the pièce de résistance is the 12 metre infinity pool with diving board and views to die for.
The house offers 5 ensuite bedrooms -(3 doubles, one twin with the addition of a separate ensuite double studio) and can accommodate 8-10 adult guests. All bedrooms are equipped with reversible air conditioning and the main house has central heating. The double aspect sitting room, with open fire place has doors opening on to a balcony.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an American style fridge/freezer, range style cooker, dishwasher and porcelain crockery. The outside laundry has a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron. The open plan dining room with open fireplace can accommodate 12 for dinner.
The house is equipped with a smart TV, Freesat, a DVD player and a stereo with Bluetooth and iPhone port. There is superfast broadband (Starlink) and wireless throughout the house.
Luxury White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels are provided, as too pool towels. Guests are provided with a welcome basket of local wine and those things you may have forgotten to pack, sunscreen, insect repellant and electric adapters. All guests are provided with complimentary toiletries. There are no hidden charges. All cleaning costs, air-con, pool heater and weekly change of linen are included in the price. Pascal our house manager will be there to meet and greet and will be available throughout your stay by mobile to answer any queries you may have. Pascal's will come each Saturday during your stay to change bed linen and towels and to thoroughly clean the house, pool and terraces.
The house is available for weekly rental, or longer throughout the year. Rental periods run from Saturday to Saturday. Pets are most welcome by prior arrangement.

Summary: Very welcoming ambiance and excellent quality of all home facilities. Infinity pool obviously the star focus on a very hot week with loungers and outside additional barbecue kitchen. Main house offering large dining and relaxing space. Opportunity to walk to village on quiet path.

Summary: We had 4 family groups for a reunion with a grandchild arriving from 3 countries. Expectations were high. We were not disappointed. It’s a wonderful villa, well appointed. Separate bedrooms and bathrooms meant all couples had space and tranquility. More than enough dining equipment and space to eat in. We absolutely LOVED the place-to the point that we wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Summary: We rented Villa Nyasa for 6 weeks from mid May to end of June and we enjoyed every single day. This house was among the vey best vacation home rentals we ever stayed in. The house has everything one needs, it is cosy, very clean and has a homely feel. It is apparent that the owners enjoy cooking as the kitchen is outfitted with every kitchen utensil & gadget one can imagine. There are beautiful glasses & good table ware (no Ikea). The beds are comfortable with lovely linen which are changed weekly. The most stunning feature of the house though is the pool with its outside kitchen and the stunning garden with all its hidden retreat areas. A real gem. Lots of sun beds and umbrellas are provided. Claviers which is by car just 4/5 minutes away or a 10 min. bike ride, is a typical Provencial village. There is a baker and a little grocery shop as well as a few nice little restaurants; however we did most of our shopping either at Fayence or Draguignan. There are many wineries & olive oil producers in the region, most of them are open for tastings and you can buy directly. We also enjoyed trips to the coast and swimming in the sea; our favourite was a little private beach club at La Croix Valmer ´La Cabane Mediteranee' , mind you its quite pricey but a nice treat once in a while. Good food & friendly staff & they provide you with sun beds and umbrellas. It's located in a quiet 'cul de sac ' away from the busy coastal road and very scenic, but it takes a good 1:30 hr to get there from Claviers. You can get to the coast in just under an hour if you go straight to Frejus. We had family and friends staying with us on and off during our vacation. Everybody enjoyed the house just as much as we did. Villa Nyasa is spacious and we never felt cramped in. Communication with the owner was easy & mails were always replied to within a few hours. We never met in person but Damian was in touch many times to make sure that we had everything we needed. The housekeeper Joanne, a very friendly & capable young woman who lives in the next village was there to meet us on arrival and made sure we had everything for a comfortable stay. She was available whenever we needed some advice. Joanne speaks very good English. Altogether we had the perfect vacation, wonderful house, beautiful location. Thank you Damian. We are certainly looking forward to coming back some time.

The house is very complete, clean, comfortable, with stunning terraces all around. We stayed with 2 families, 4 adults and 5 kids, which worked out great. Owner was super responsive and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

Summary: We have just spent a week with 7 adults and 3 children at Villa Nyasa and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the start communication with the English owner has been easy and helpful and on site Joanna (fluent English) meets you to show you around and answered questions during the week very promptly. The house, garden and heated pool are really very special and the views from the pool and barbeque area quite spectacular. Everything in the house is done stylishly and is great quality whilst remaining cosy and welcoming. The high quality beds, bedlinen, towels, toiletries and barbeque were a bonus you do not often find in rental homes. Being able to cycle to Claviers along a traffic free path for morning pastries was lovely and there are many local good quality restaurants. All in all it is a very special place and we will definitely be returning for another break in this beautiful and unspoilt area of France and in particular to Villa Nyasa which we all thought was absolutely beautiful.

Summary: The house is exactly as on the pictures. Damian said we wouldn't be disappointed and we weren't! The kitchen is very well equipped. So it doesn't matter what you want to make, you'll have everything you need. We stayed with 10, 7 adults and 3 children. And there was plenty of room for everyone. The pool area is fantastic and the views are amazing! If you have any questions or anything is wrong during your stay, the local contact is there for you always. She helps you perfectly during your arrival and your stay. We had fantastic weeks.

Summary: Our family of 10 (5 adults & 5 children) spent a lovely week here at Villa Nyasa in August 2016. We were very impressed with the beautiful villa, even though we had looked at pictures online it was even better in the flesh. There was plenty of space, so many little areas outside to sit at and relax so no-one felt on top of each other. The outside kitchen area was a big hit with us, as a family with children it was ideal as they could swim whilst we cooked dinner with us still keeping a watchful eye over them. It was also lovely of an evening, we spent many a night sitting up there with a glass of wine looking at the stars! Inside the villa the bedrooms and en suite bathrooms were lovely and felt homely. Beautiful bedding, towels and toiletries were provided. The nearby village of Claviers was very nice too, had a couple of meals at restaurants there which were very good. All in all, couldn't fault Villa Nyasa, we would highly recommend and hope to return sometime in the future. Thank you.

Summary: What a fabulous Villa! glorious rooms and décor, wondeful linen, yet a home from home feel, in a stunning setting with every detail thought through. We came for a very happy week end House Party - a quick easy drive from Nice Airport (excellent directions provided by the Owner) makes it all very doable even for a short break. And we were bathed in glorious sunshine and delicious warmth even though it was almost mid October. The local wines - and restaurants - are excellent too. I am already planning my return trip for a longer stay. Highly recommended. Allez!
