If you are looking for a beautiful, spacious, incredibly clean, affordable condo with fantastic amenities located right in the heart of Poipu….you've come to the right place!! Pakele Kahakai or "Beach Escape" is what our family calls our dream Kauai home. This condo puts you in easy walking distance to world famous beaches, and a very short drive to fantastic shopping, restaurants, golfing, and many other popular attractions! Take a quick stroll just outside the condo on the “Greenbelt Walkway” and you will arrive at Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach in about five minutes, or head the other direction and you can walk to the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Shipwreck Beach in under ten minutes. You could not ask for a more central location in the middle of the action! Poipu Beach has been voted "Best Beach in America" by the Travel Channel and it is not hard to see why. Poipu Beach has a section of calm waters perfect for families with young children, but is also great for snorkeling, swimming, boogie boarding, and surfing. There is a huge lawn area with shade trees, picnic tables, kids play-area, restrooms, showers, and some food options.
With 1329 sq/ft of space, two large bedrooms, two updated bathrooms, and three separate outdoor lanai’s, this beautiful condo not only gives you plenty of room for your group, but you truly feel like you are at home. You will be hard-pressed to find a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo anywhere in Kauai that has this much space! There is an open-concept living room, kitchen, and dining room which is great for entertaining or relaxing. The front lanai looks out to lush tropical green surroundings with mountain views, and each bedroom has its own private lanai with stunning garden views. Time your stay right and you can literally pick fresh bananas from the tree off the bedroom lanai! Both bedrooms have king beds, and a queen-size very comfy Murphy bed is conveniently tucked away in the dining room area, making for very relaxing sleeping arrangements for up to six guests. Air conditioning was recently added in both of the bedrooms. Every room has ceiling fans, and there are also great natural breezes that run thru the condo. You also don't have to worry about bringing your beach gear, we supply everything you need: snorkeling gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach blanket, boogie boards, beach toys, and an ice chest. We also supply all linens, including beach towels, paper products, soap, laundry pods, dishwasher soap, coffee, and coffee filters. The large kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to cook your meals from home! Both the kitchen and bathrooms were fully remodeled complete with granite countertops, new cabinets, and seamless showers. There is very plush and comfy carpet in the living room, hallway, and bedrooms. This condo is loaded with stacked laundry, free High Speed Wireless Internet, Alexxa, and flat screen TV’s with cable in both bedrooms and the living room.
In addition to its ideal ground-level location and close walking access to some of Kauai’s best beaches, there are amazing amenities that come along with staying at the Poipu Kai Resort! Your group will have access to 3 beautiful pools and jacuzzi’s. We have a lovely pool, jacuzzi, and BBQ area conveniently right around the corner but just far enough away to avoid the noise. You have access to tennis and pickleball courts, BBQ grills, beautiful lush green surroundings with lighted walking paths, a designated parking spot, and ample additional free parking. This is a beautiful condo and is in a prime location just minutes from the best beaches, swimming, surfing, amazing golf courses, and great shopping. The Poipu Kai Resort offers the perfect vacation for every traveler, and this condo will make you feel at home right away. Summary: We enjoyed our stay. Condo is as described. Loved walking to Grand Hyatt /Shipwreck Beach in the morning. It was helpful to have a washer and dryer. The Murphy Bed was a hit with our 12 year old son.

Summary: 2 BR condo is spacious, clean, convenient and has everything you need for the beach&snorkeling. 3 lanais were nice and quiet&secluded. Kitchen is fully stocked and we cooked most every day. Bathrooms had soap, shampoo, towels, toilet paper. The comdo is so well supplied they had a beach high enough for me

Summary: We enjoyed our 3 nights at this property. Loved walking the greenbelt to see the resting sea turtles from this home. It added to our enjoyment the fully stocked beach closet. I borrowed a chair for the beach one day. It was nice to have air conditioning in the bedrooms and have access to a Murphy bed.

Summary: We loved staying at this condo this December. It was perfect for our five adults and one toddler. It’s a good size with plenty of space for everyone. The AC and fans in the bedrooms worked well to cool the bedrooms off. The rest of the condo has fans and good air flow so we were comfortable. The location was easy walk to the beach and we enjoyed the pools and hot tubs on the property. We would stay again.

Summary: Fabulous property- perfect location and short walk to the beach. Watched the turtles swim into the shore and leave again in the morning. Thank you so much- definitely will rent here again. We had to use all beds and I am impressed by how comfy that Murphy bed was too! Air conditioner units in both rooms kept the whole unit cool for sleeping.

Summary: Our stay in Poipu was very nice. The location was excellent and we loved that we had access to so many beach accessories ready for use, especially the wagon. The sliding door locks were not very functional and being on the first floor, it was somewhat concerning even using the door blocks that were provided. We loved the newly remodeled bathrooms.

Summary: My husband and I stayed here for our 9-day trip, the first vacation we’ve taken just for us in 14 years! We wanted a quiet, comfortable place to call home during our trip. It was important to us to have AC, a full kitchen, and a resort experience. The location couldn’t have been better, with the beach a 10 minute walk away and a pool basically right outside the door. We rented a car so we could easily see the whole island, but there are restaurants in walking distance. The patios were perfect for morning coffee. The AC was ice cold and the furniture was comfortable. We had an excellent stay and found the hosts to be great communicators and very gracious about our requested late checkout. When we return to Kauai, we will definitely book here again!

Summary: We loved the condo! Short walk to the beach, had tons of swimming and beach gear. The whole place was spotless! My only complaint is that we were walked in on by the person cleaning the condo at checkout time. As a family with kids we were running a few minutes late and at exactly 10 o' clock the door opened without a knock by the cleaning person. I would stay here again dispite our surprise at checkout lol.
