Summary: We were made very welcome. Lovely property with fabulous views. Short walk into town with restaurants and supermarket. A beautiful part of Spain.

Summary: The house was so much better than expected, perfect if you are house sharing with three couples, with plenty of space for privacy and great communal areas to enjoy socialising. The owner communicated well. We will certainly be returning.

Summary: We knew Jimena before we booked, though had never stayed in the town. The location of this property is superb: it's not on a main road, and so is very tranquil, but is easily accessible on foot (steeply!) to all parts of the town, be it bars, restaurants or historical interest. There are amazing views from all three tarraces. We found at least two small shops open seven days a week. The house is grand and elegantly furnished, with lots of airy space. The lower floor, with bedrooms and an extra sitting room, was cool at all times, despite the Saharan heatwave we experienced. Lots of equipment that you'd expect to have at home. We were met by a neighbour with the keys as arranged with the charming owners, who came to meet us later that day. We loved it.

Summary: We had a fantastic holiday in this house. Everything we needed was available, plenty of different areas to relax, both inside and outside. The house was clean and spacious and has fantastic views of the surrounding areas form the terrace. The village has lots to offer with some great bars and lovely walks. We hope to return soon.

Summary: We have had 9 happy days in this wonderful house in Jimena. It is very peaceful situated with a terrace with an indescribably beautiful view. The house is well equipped with good quality stuff. There was everything you need and then some more. We came to Jimena to watch migration of raptors, so we vent to the southcoast several times, but every day we could also see them from the terrace. Thank you Alberto for your helpfulness and your hospitality.

Summary: Everything about this lovely home is first class. From our very first booking request that required a few changes, property owner, Alberto, was considerate, fair and ever so gracious. This was our second winter in Jimena and this house made it extra special for our 3 month stay. The stunning expansive view is the best part of this home, but the fine furnishings, spacious rooms and friendly neighbours made this house a home. The place was spotless and clean upon arrival and Alberto met us and made us feel totally welcomed and comfortable. A great location that has ample parking, the Henrietta bar/hotel just up the road, the sound of the Town bells and a braying donkey nearby make this an exceptional home for Spanish sights, sounds and serenity. Thank you Alberto for sharing your lovely home with such warmth, care and kindness.

Summary: We, a family of 4, (2 adults, 1 teenager and a 10 years old), stayed in this wonderful house last summer for 2 weeks. This was our third time in Jimena de la Frontera, but the first in this house. The house is spacious and cosy and have 3 very nice terraces with a fabulous view over the the town and landscape. There is also a small lawn for the kids to play on. The big balcony, with its nice chairs, (not white plastic), has a wonderful view, and is the perfect place for an early cup of coffee while the sun rice over the mountains, and in the afternoon with a cold tinto de verrano, while the sun sets behind the old castle and lights up the mountains in warm colours. The house is placed in a quiet part of town, not much traffic and good parking spaces. The only sounds are from mules, cocks and dogs. The kitchen is okay equipped for making homemade meals. And okay beds with lots of linen and towels in the closets. Only remark would be, there was no linen on the beds when we arrived, which was late at night, but this was probably a due to an oversight. The owner, Alberto, had sat a nice olive oil and a bottle of red wine, very nice and welcoming. We didn’t miss a pool at the house. We used one of the 2 swimming pool’s in town, one of them located at the campsite, and the other one, the public pool in town, witch we can warmly recommend. Or we drove to one of the beaches. There are some very nice restaurants in town, with good local food and nice service. While we where here, we visited the Los Lobos Ranch, again, for a horse ride at the countryside and a nice lunch afterwards. In our three stays, we also visited Ronda, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Alhambra in Granada, Jerez de la Frontera, Gaucin and Tarifa. And our kids love to visit the Zoo in Castellar and La Pequena Africa in Los Angeles. We find Jimena a very peaceful place to visit, and the people in town very friendly. We can only recommend this town, and we have already booked this house again this summer.
