Le Pre is a beautifully renovated farmhouse complex built of stone dating back to the 18th century set in three hectares of meadow and woodland in the lovely Dordogne hamlet of St Paul de Serre. The farmhouse surrounds a beautiful walled courtyard, where guests can enjoy tranquility in total privacy. From the courtyard all parts of the property can be accessed: - A large and fully equipped kitchen with seating for up to 14 with a wall of large windows looking onto the courtyard. The 'Small House' has a bedroom, bathroom and cosy landing (+sofa bed) Downstairs are the studio with sofa bed (with access to the terrace and garden) and a bedroom with multigym. The old house has two double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, a double bedroom downstairs and an adjacent seating area with a lovely view over the village. The very spacious barn sitting room with a full sized billiard table, UK and french television and a magnificent open fireplace. The barn accesses the terrace and garden through large french windows. Next to the barn is the master bedroom with a double bed and its own access to a private outside terraced area. There are two washing machines, ironing board and a washing line. The garden is accessed from the studio and from the barn. At the corner of the building is the large fixed grill adjoined to the terrace where seating is available. Central to the garden is the 5x10 swimming pool surrounded by a large walled in terrace and just a few steps away from the house. For the sporting inclined there is a multigym available. In addition to the full sized billiard table there is table tennis and boules supplied. WiFi internet access is accessible throughout the house (some areas the signal is weak due to very thick walls). Le Pre harbours a huge variety of books. Board games are found in the barn sitting area.

Summary: 13 of us stayed in this lovely big farmhouse and enjoyed the abundant space and amenities. The pool and surrounding area is excellent and safely lockable when not in use so good if you have young children. The kitchen is well appointed and the rooms very comfortable to sleep in, even without air conditioning. The property is remote so a car is an essential, though supermarkets are only ten minutes drive. Tim was very friendly and available, but gave us space to enjoy the property as our own home for the duration of the stay which was appreciated.

Summary: We had a great week with two families in the house. It is ideal for that. The house has nice places for common areas but you also have your own place to sleep and use a bathroom as a family. Swimming pool is ideal. Large and clean. Owner was also very hospitable. It iwas a warm week so we could see less of the surroundings.

Summary: We travelled as nine friends to celebrate my 50th birthday and fell in love with Le Pre and the village. The property had everything we needed for a wonderful week in the sun. We enjoyed the pool (which is a sun trap) and made full use of the equipped kitchen to cater for all of us for the week. The local bar was a real treasure and only a few steps from the property. We enjoyed BBQs and snooker, table tennis and just generally making wonderful memories.

Summary: We had a really lovely two week stay at the property with extended family and thoroughly enjoyed the house and exploring the surrounding area. There were several areas of cleaning and maintenance the property would significantly benefit from which we are going to address with the owner on private feedback as it would be unfair for a public review.

Summary: Nestled in picturesque Perigourdine countryside, Le Pré comprises three nearly independent cottages enclosing a secure, sun kissed courtyard, with a large field behind the accommodation, off road parking for several cars, and an enclosed and private swimming pool. Double height living room with full size billiards table, table tennis outside and table football complete the facilities. Tim and Claudia are attentive and good communicators. Strongly recommended.

Summary: Plenty of space for family of 10. Well equipped, lovely pool area, lots of places to either mix together or have your own space. Off road parking for 3/4 cars inside gates. Loved the atmosphere of this property. Centrally based between Bergerac & Perigueux. Only 10/15 mins drive to hypermarket/bakery. Great choice of restaurants locally too. Recommend l'Petite Auberge near Vergt for authentic french lunch and Le Rossignol, both within 10 mins drive.

Summary: Delightful hosts, super quick to respond to our questions. Nothing was too much trouble for them! A lovingly restored house which gave our party of 12 enough space to spread out while still being together as a family, which was vital to us. The house easily accommodated us all with room to spare and, even more, had a large oven with very large cooking pots , plenty of fridge and freezer space. The large grounds allowed the more energetic of us to explore and the swimming pool was wonderful with plenty of loungers. Tim kept the pool super clean and it was great to bump into him at times to pick his brains on the surrounding area. We would highly recommend this beautiful home, situated in a very quiet rural area but close enough to places of interest and the all important boulangerie for those breakfast croissants!
