Summary: We very much enjoyed our 2-week stay in Landhaus Axenfels. The apartment is comfortable and spacious, its terrace and balcony ideal for dining outdoors while enjoying the incomparable sunset views across the lake. For walkers, there's no shortage of gorgeous hikes within easy reach by bus or boat (don't miss the Glattalp, the Spilauersee, and the hike from Klewenalp to Niederbauen). At Paul's suggestion, we bought the Tell Pass and were very glad we did: it's pricey but worth it. All in all, a memorable holiday and highly recommended.

Summary: For future visits (which we hope we can make) we will request the top floor unit if available so as to mitigate noise issues of young families with children running around early in AM - an issue Paul kindly addressed for us during our visit. In general, this unit was large and very comfortable for our party of 4 adults. We recommend it highly!

Summary: I traveled to Switzerland with my mom and sister and we stayed in Paul’s apartment for a week. Paul met us at the appointed time and gave us a tour of the beautiful apartment. First of all, the view is amazing! The apartment is equipped with everything you need. It’s close to Brunnen, but you feel like you’re far away from the hustle bustle. My mom and sisters all agree that Axelfel was our favorite location we stayed during our trip! 🇨🇭

Summary: The most important thing about this property is the view. It is amazing and unobstructed. You will not regret staying here for this alone! Paul was a wonderful host -- very easy to communicate with and our arrival was arranged seamlessly. The property feels quite private even though the amenities of the Swiss Holiday Park Resort are a very short walk away (convenience store, mini-grocer, restaurants, mini golf, go karts, horse-riding, etc.) It is a perfect location if you are with children. There are many gorgeous hikes within walking distance and the town of Brunnen is a 5 minute drive away with incredible views and nice places to eat along Lake Lucerne. A few notes: There are several apartment units in the house so you will likely see other guests during your stay. Laundry is shared. The beds are all twin beds -- very common in Switzerland and Germany. The master bedroom has 2 twin beds pushed together. The kitchen is very well-equipped with pans and basic cooking ingredients. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Summary: We stayed in the Rütli apartment for a week and then transferred to the larger Vierwaldstattersee apartment. Both were traditionally furnished and well appointed with wifi, satellite tv/dvd, good crockery and glassware and a range of kitchen appliances. The property itself is easy to access, has ample parking, and a large garden. BBQ, garden furniture and garden toys are provided as is access to washing and drying facilities in the basement. The four holiday apartments that comprise the building share use of the large sunny garden and in addition the Vierwaldstattersee apartment has private use of a side terrace and lawn slightly above the main garden. The property is two minutes walk from the Swiss Holiday Park that provides a range of facilities including indoor/outdoor swimming pools, sauna etc, crazy golf, tennis, bowling, go-carting and a playground as well as several restaurants. There are other restaurants and a small village shop in Morschach and easy access to Brunnen (nearest town) and out on to the motorway network. Big supermarkets are approx. 10mins by car in Schwyz. The house looks directly across the southern limb of Lake Luzern with good lake and mountain views. We stayed in the smaller Rutli apartment and then transferred to the larger Vierwaldstatersee. There is also a separate studio double room on the ground floor which we also rented for both weeks acting as a 'granny flat'. The separate room has its own private loo and shower room but these are on the floor above (not really an issue given the house only comprises the self-contained holiday flats, but one should be aware that a nocturnal loo trip requires use of the communal stairs!). The property seemed well maintained, and the mattresses were firm and comfortable. Hot water is plentiful. The owner was present occasionally through the week to do maintenance, attend the garden etc, and has a small chalet in the corner of garden to enable him to stay (without being intrusive) as required. The owner was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. Baby cots and high chairs are available. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in the property and wouldn't hesitate to return should we holiday in the area again. Morschach seemed a nice village and a good base for summer walkers or those heading further afield by car.

Summary: We stayed in the loft apartment Urirostock. The view facing the lake was unbelievable. The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable. We had planned to do more sightseeing and touring and stayed home a lot because of the view and also the beautiful gardens attached. Paul Aschwanden is a great landlord and was very helpful even correcting my bad pronounciation of Deutsch. He also brought an infant bed and a high chair for our daughter that we were not expecting. I am giving a 5 star review only because 10 is not available - we could not have found a better place to stay. If we return to Switzerland we will not look for another place we would return here. The apartment is easy to find and is just a couple of minutes from Brunnen that has good restaurants and also the boat tours of the lake.
